We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesOur "non-smoking" room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke... which made sense after we found cigarette butts on the floor. The floor appeared as if it had not been vacuumed. Half of the electrical outlets in the room did not work, so we did not have any lamps by the beds. There was also a mysterious pool of water in the bathroom, which may have been from a plumbing leak. The toilet seemed to have a small, constant leak, and was a bit noisy.
It was close to the airport - only an $8 Uber. The front desk worker was friendly.

United StatesThe bedroom furniture looks like it's from the 70's and hasn't been cleaned since then either. The floor was dirty. Pillows sink all the way to the mattress which makes it harder to sleep. There was no ice bucket and only one towel and one wash cloth. It was cheap so you got what you paid for here.

United StatesEverything. Sheets were stained, chair was old and stained and dirty, table was falling apart. Pillows were old and lumpy. The floor turned my socks black.
I felt like I was in a 1920s horror movie in that hotel room. The bathroom was completely outdated with dim lighting and paint peeling off the walls, mold above the shower. Towels were stained and ripped and old. I have never seen anything this bad in my life and I've stayed at quite a few hotels. This place needs to be shut down by the local health department until it is remodeled.
