How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I highly recommend this hotel for an amazing experience in Rothenburg. The hotel itself is what you'd expect from a traditional Bavarian house. We shared a triple room with my father, and all of us enjoyed the experience a lot. The family who owns the hotel is very accommodating (even having beer available to sell us at night), and they enhanced our experience a lot. The breakfast provided is fantastic, and the fact that parking is available is also a great benefit. It took about 5 minutes to walk into the heart of Rothenburg, so the location is perfect as well.

The hotel was charming, the area was beautiful, the staff was super friendly, and breakfast was AMAZING! We were so glad we spontaneously booked this hotel. We didn't know quite what to expect but we were really blown away by this place.

The room was large. The breakfast was excellent. He asked to check off from a list of what we wanted for breakfast. He served breakfast and asked if we wanted more of anything. The location was good. It was within the walled town, but not right in the middle of the town. Easily accessible to anything you want to see in Rothenburg.

Our room for 4 was very spacious and nice, the breakfast made from local produce, the location is insice the city walls, right next to the wall, a short stroll from the central market place. The rooms are very quiet and parking is possible in the inside court of the hotel behind the gate.

Very nice family room, in a cute little hotel, conveniently located within the city walls, a 5 min walk from the central market place. Very helpful late-arrival instructions, friendly staff and a handmade breakfast with organic and local assortment.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay! We had the quadruple room which might be a bit tight for four adults but was perfect for a family with two kids (we have one teenager and one younger child). Breakfast is amazing and the hotel proprietor is so friendly and helpful. We loved the location within the walls but close to the periphery- quiet and easy to navigate with a car. We highly recommend Kreuzerhof Hotel Garni!

Nothing. Loved this hotel!
Loved this quaint hotel in ancient city. Walking distance to everything. The manager recommended the night watch tour which was 9 euro/person and really great! Breakfast was lovely and manager kept checking to see if we needed/wanted additional items prepared, all included in the price! Room was warm, little treat left on the bed. Bathroom was huge!

Not really anything. There was no refrigerator but we really did not need it.
Cozy warm room. Close to downtown. Great parking. Great breakfast. Walter helped us make reservations for an evening meal.

Can’t think of a thing
The owners are Super. They have good information, friendly and assist whenever they can - nothing seems to be a bother. As example, we had an extremely large van (thanks rental co company for not having what reserved only much smaller or larger). They helped maneuver a small bus and shoehorn it into the enclosed parking area - all the time with a friendly smile and attitude.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
The room was decorated with lovely old furniture. It suited the building and location. A great location within the old town but still close to the train station. The staff were very nice and obliging. The breakfast was great and the breakfast room was lovely. A comfortable bed and spacious room. You can make yourself a hot drink out in the hall.
