My room window was onto the atrium, so I kept my curtains closed, and had to shut the window to keep the noise out, although the room was very hot indeed. I tried adjusting the temperature but it didn't seem to work.

Communal areas had a nice design, and the room was large and comfortable, with an enormous bed! The location was convenient for my visit.

There was a booking mistake and we were only booked for one day of breakfast instead of two. That was a little disappointing but not that big a deal. The description states that we were supposed to have bathrobes and slippers in our room, which were nowhere to be found. Lastly, the hotel is clean but I feel like the cleanliness could be upgraded to the next level as I noticed dust in the room even though we had housekeeping every day.

The hotel design is definitely something that made the most impression on me and is the reason why I chose it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We were staying here for the New Year's weekend and we were able to have dinner without prior reservation. Plus the bar party turned out to be surprisingly fun. The location is good, it's only a short walk from the station and in a nice and peaceful part of the city.

Having stayed at Gastwerk hotel previously, I booked the hotel again because we enjoyed our stay so much on our earlier visit. We really appreciate the hotel location and industrial vibe, and the architecture is stunning - a real gem! The restaurant staff were always friendly and service was impeccable. Breakfast offered a good selection for all tastes. It was great to be able to charge our car on location in the free car-park - another positive feature.

The pillows could have been firmer as they didn't offer much support for my head and neck and I felt the breakfast was quite expensive for what was on offer.

The room was very well laid out and of a good standard. The wet room was perfect for what I needed and there was plenty of wardrobe space for my clothes.

The room I have got was facing the internal court, comfortable and rather quiet. It was also quite big for hotel room standards. Once understood how to switch off the air conditioning, it was really silent.

The beds were too hard for our taste. The room was quite dark, so there could be additional lamps.

The staff was friendly. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. There was an EV charging point, which was a plus.

One thing that cause us a discomfort was the bar offering of cocktails which of course started at a price point of €12 and included primarily big pieces of ice. Not that I would expect a gimlet in a milk shake size of a cup, but the icebergs in out glasses were both, way to expensive and very inconveniently in the way of drink consumption.

It is very lovely to be there in such a beautiful hotel! It is very nicely made, includes a spa area and a few entertaining options such as a billiard and an in-house restaurant. The location is very easy to reach and the Ottensen neighbourhood offers a vibrant atmosphere.

There is nothing to note here. The only gripe would be with the public transport and how you can pay for tickets (cash only, unless you find a Deutsche Bahn ticket machine). All other avenues require either a contract with the HVV or at the very least a SEPA bank account and an app. But this is nothing the hotel is responsible for.

The hotel is easily reachable by car and public transport (which you should use to get around Hamburg). The rooms are spacious and look lovely. There is no obvious wear and tear and the bathroom and shower were just as spacious as the room. The bed was very comfortable and big. The hotel staff were all friendly. The bar has a really good selection and the female bartender knows her stuff. Scotch is served correctly with water and chocolate.

We missed an outdoor sitting location to read a book or chill The towels where of low quality Also the the blanket on the bed was not the best And you had 2 pillows but both of the same and very soft. Would have been great to have an other option
