Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe furniture was a bit outdated. Our room had a slanted wall on one side of the bed, causing painful bumps to the head when one is not careful when getting in and out of bed. Not a fan of the sliding door to the bathroom because it never stayed completely shut which did not allow complete privacy.
This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Hetzel. Free parking. Breakfast included although we didn't have time to eat. Check-in was quick and easy. Water kettle, instant coffee, and mini-frig were big pluses!

BelgiumWe were there (unfortunately) during one of the hottest nights of the year. Without air conditioning, it was very hot in the room. The mattresses of the bed were very hard (for my taste). Although the bathrooms were very nice, the door to the bathroom could not fully close and it is a bit weird when you can see someone on the toilet from your bed.
Ideal for one night stay. Nice rooms and clean bathroom.

GermanyParking spaces are limited, and it was difficult to find a parking space. The room was ok and clean when we checked in, but I think the next day, the cleaning was done but very superficially. If you are looking for nice restaurants or things to do you have to drive to the centre as this part of Stuttgart is boring. The bar adjacent to the hotel are not friendly people, it was 9.30 pm and they wouldn't serve us a drink while the bar was still full.
The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Very friendly, breakfast was good.
