There were only recycling waste bins in the rooms, no place for non-recyclables. Would have been nice to have Tea options as well as coffee in the rooms. Very minor points for such a fantastic place.

The hotel was immaculate, rooms very well stocked and presentable. The staff were very polite and helpful, even in English which was very appreciated. The restaurant is excellent and very accommodating. It is as close to perfect as one can expect.

This is a historic Grand Hotel and after the renovation it has improved on its strength: the impressive lobby and bar as well as the great rooms. Everyone working there was friendly, helpful and charming, especially the staff in the bar. The location is impossible to improve right inbetween the Alster lake, main station and Kunsthalle. The area is very cosmopolitan and offers many, many food options.

Get a room with the Alster lake view. I stayed in two different rooms and the back end or middle view is not good. Though both rooms were quite large.

Our stay at the Atlantic was an unexpected pleasure! The location was great, the staff went above and beyond to assist in any way possible, and the breakfast was superb! The view from the breakfast area was lovely and was a beautiful way to start each day. Our room was spacious, and we had a fabulous view out over the lake. We could walk along the lake as well, since the path was directly across the street. We walked everywhere, since we had no car, and the location was perfect. The staff, both at the front desk and at breakfast were helpful and personable. Thank you!

Really nice beautiful hotel. Rooms are large, the location is good, comfy beds, and everything was clean but in our stay, Atlantic Hotel highly excelled on friendly and helpful staff. I booked a taxi from the room to the reception. But the reservation was not made. Forgotten. I booked a taxi at the reception at 5 pm. I called the reception and changed the reservation at 5:30 by phone to the reception. But that change order did not made and the taxi came at 5 pm as originally booked and gone. I needed to book again and lost 20 minutes. Something wrong as that happened twice. Need coordination among staff.
