How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was wonderful.

It was not possible to fully close the curtain of the bedroom to keep the sun out in the morning, no airco, but those were minor issues.
Friendly personeel, refresher drink and home made cookies available at the reception, great location, the best breakfast you can wish for.

It was perfect!
We were 2 singles and were put in a wonderful room which had quite separate sleeping areas. We had a lovely stay for 4 nights. When we arrived we walked from the main train station with our bags. Once we learned the system it was way easier to take a tram and then a train back again.

We missed air conditioning a bit because it was a hot summer day.
The best breakfast we ever had. We've never experienced so varied breakfast options in any hotel throughout the Europe. Amazing!

Everything is good except the lack of air conditioning.
Location is perfect near one of the city walls of the historic centre. There’s a parking (a nightmare otherwise to find a parking for your car). Breakfast is superb. Personal really helpful and nice.

The only downside is that there was no air conditioning in the room. But in fact, this is only a problem in the summer when it is very hot outside. Everything else was excellent.
Exceptional location, approx. 5-7 minutes walk to the old part of the city. Extremely friendly staff, they welcomed us with welcome drinks and cookies.

There was a minor mix-up with the room type I had booked at check-in, but this was fully resolved to my complete satisfaction by the hotel staff.
Clean, good facilities, located in a very convenient spot close to the castle and old town. Staff were always friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in Nürnberg.

Nothing that would stop us returning.
Great location just across the road from the old town. Typical traditional German Garni Hotel, our room was nice sized, clean and with all mod cons. A good sized bathroom with walk in shower. Sky TV was a nice add-on, not always offered. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome.

Hotel is at a great location near downtown Nurnberg (with all the restaurants and the castle), easily accessible by car. Very helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. Even pancakes!. There is a possibility to park the car in the backyard. We were satisfied.

If I have to find something it would be the lack of air conditioning.
Very comfortable room with minibar and first drink for free. Room well cleaned. Extremely helpful personnel who went to a length to accommodate our car in their small parking. Fantastic breakfast. Superb position near the walls of the inner historical centre.

Our room was on the 5th floor and the weather was very hot. There was no air conditioning just a fan and the room was uncomfortably hot during the night although the staff did provide an extra fan for our second night. We asked for a twin room but were surprised to find beds at either end of the small room.
Excellent location for the old town. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of hot and cold food
