The hotel was clean and comfortable. A good place to stay. Although there are no hot drink facilities in the room, there was a fridge. They provided a kettle for our room, so we could make a cup of tea. That made all the difference!

At the time we were staying, they had renovations going on, which meant it was quite noisy and we were not informed about it (as well as not offered any price concession). More so, while the hotel was really not busy, we were given a room just by the staircase and the doors to the corridor were wide open (even when we tried to close it) making the noise even worse as the works were going on upstairs. The hotel staff could have been more considerate when locating guests in the context of the noisy renovation. The breakfast used to be a standard German buffet breakfast. However this time, as there were few guests at the hotel, instead of a proper buffer we go a question to list what we want. And it was not like - oh we want a meat or cheese platter, but more like trying to guess /understand what type of meat or cheese is available and naming if we want 1 or 2 slices of it. So a bread with a slice of boiled ham and some jam ended up costing us 8 EUR per person, and a coffee from a machine - 4 EUR. A big price mismatch with the overall experience.

We've been staying at this hotel for years now. While the interior is quite specific and by now some of it dated, the hotel is always clean and has some charm. It is located by the river and at the main street, so is easy to reach main highlights in the city.

Outside atmosphere is too loud within the night (we were on Friday and Saturday). We were slipping with open window. However, one may utilize AC.

The room was somewhat dirty. The photos over represent the state of the property as it is slightly run down. The beds were not comfortable and the double was just two twins pushed together with a wooden crack between and very thin mattresses. Overpriced for the quality.

The cleaning date was not kept even though already communicated. The body washer container disappeared when coming back to the hotel and to find the holder dirty.

Not having a safe in the room.

The rooms have an older style decor with dark red carpeting. However, the bathroom is modern and bright. There is a mini bar but no safe. The breakfast is excellent with a good selection of hot and cold items. The location is handy to restaurants and the river. There is no onsite parking but there a numerous parking lots/garages nearby. We ate at Enchilada and La Rustica, both of which had excellent food.
