I would expect noise from the trains given the location, however the soundproofing between rooms was MUCH poorer that you would get in the UK. it would be considered poor, as it was possible to hear other guests moving around etc. Bring your earplugs.

The toilet is VERY small and smelly. Although we open the window all day, we still can smell the bathroom. The bathroom interior design is a little bit strange. As there is a window just opposite the shower area, which could be more private.

The location is the best. The room is clean but small. The bed is comfy. Friendly staff. Good for budget hotel.

we arrived late one night because of the trains being delayed and were not greeted positively by staff. that was the only negative interaction he was probably also tired. everything else was good.

it was right next to the train station and bus stops to take you to old town. very convenient for transportation.

Bathroom was tiny. There wasn't much room. The room was small. My room overlooked the train station, as did my friends rooms. The noise from the train station wasn't too bad if you kept your windows closed. My friends had rooms along the same hallway, but opened their windows and said it was noisy. There was some noise in the hallway, but I was close to the elevator, so that might not be an issue if further away.

The location was very close to the train station and this was great when traveling using the train system. The staff (Edward) went above and beyond to assist us with our travels and took the time to help us even though he was busy. He was very helpful.

Towels did not smell very good. The bathroom is VERY tiny. There was dirt on the windows and in their frame.

The position, 1 minute from Heidelberg HBF is perfect. Staff is nice.

When I checked in, I was given the key to a room that the maid was still cleaning. She was very surprised to see me and there was some confusion about what I should do. If I should wait for her to finish or go to reception and ask for another room. But it was resolved fairly quickly. The doors are very thin and at night I could hear people out in the halls talking loudly.

For me, the location was very convenient. Close to rail station and close to business that I was visiting. But during the night, I could sometimes hear the loudspeakers from the train platform.

The wifi didn't work at all. The heating barely worked. The room was pretty basic. I expected better from a major chain like Ibis.

The room was quite small and the bed pretty uncomfortable (definitely NOT a king-size as it is described). There was no central heating, just a fan-like heater both for the room and the bathroom.

My bathroom was terrible. The way the toilet was situated I could not sit on comfortably because it was put in at the smallest side of the bathroom. I'm 6'1" and could not sit straight on the toilet. I had to sit at an angle that was just wrong. I'm not sure if all the rooms are the same, but I suggest that any one over 5'8" try out the toilet before accepting that particular room.

The bathroom is extremely small. If you’re tall you will not be able to use the toilet. If you’re overweight you will not be able to squeeze into the bathroom.

Location was great. Close to transportation into town and across the street from train station.
