Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe pool was closed due to a blockage. After moving rooms due to a broken fridge we noticed we had no handsoap and only a small amount of toilet roll. Even the next day after I left the empty handsoap container out they just put it back and I had to go to reception to get a replacement. Housekeeping let the hotel down.
Location, room size. Glass of sparkling wine on arrival, this was a nice touch. Reception staff every helpful.

United KingdomDespite an overall great experience, I was a bit sad to see the two large beds in the room done with single duvets, one of which had some tears on the cover.
The hotel room was huge and well decorated. The facilities were incredible and the pool felt quite refreshing in the morning, as was the sauna. Breakfast options were varied and of good quality. Staff was very friendly and happy to help. Location was quite good as it sits in the city centre and is easily accessible on foot and by public transportation.

All was good as usual, I have been several times in this hotel, it is in vicinity of Rosegarten Conference Center and near University Clinic where I have meetings. Besides it is in mid town, therefore I do not need to use any transportation witin Mannheim. Breakfast is fine as usual, with good choice of different food options. It is nice to have a new coffee machines therefore esspresso is a standard option. Room is quite wide with plenty of space.

GermanyWe booked the room and only afterwards they send us that the pool is closed. When we arrived at the hotel the sauna and the gym were closed as well. That must be communicated better. They did not offer uns any compensation for the lack of facilities.
Room is big and comfy. Street noise is managable.

NetherlandsThe room interiors and furnishings are very old fashioned and worn out. It feels dated and the carpet looked quite dirty in my room. Also all rooms on the ground floor that face the road don't offer any insulation from noise.
The central location of the property. It's just a 10 mins walk from the main train station and everything is within walking distance. The morning receptionist was really kind enough to provide me with an extra duvet/ blanket!
