Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom was great. Shower worked well and was plenty hot enough. However, there wasn't enough soap in the dispenser. Like many hotels nowadays, you only get liquid body wash in the shower and hand basin. Ours ran out in the shower so we had to use soap from the hand basin. We also ran out of tissues in the room. The TV has lots of stations, but we couldn't find any in English and couldn't work out how to turn on captions. There were no instructions on how to do this if, indeed, it is possible. The entry is quite small and easy to miss. However, once you are inside and upstairs, it is a nice place. The checkin is at a kiosk by the entrance door...it looks like an ATM machine. You must enter your booking details there first, make payment, and get your key-cards before you can enter the hotel. There is not always someone at the reception desk, so the kiosk entry means that you can always checkin, whether someone is there or not. We booked a parking space, however, our van was too big to fit. Parking is very difficult around the area, but take care when using the hotel carpark because it is a very steep entry; only regular size cars should attempt it, not vans. We had to reverse out of the entry (not easy). Thankfully, the hotel had no problem refunding our parking fee.
The room we had (Standard Double Room) was excellent. Very large and spacious. We overlooked other buildings--no view--but it was quiet and comfortable, very clean. I didn't particularly like the wooden floor and would have preferred carpet to make it more cosy. The bed was excellent. The location is brilliant. Right in the middle of a vibrant restaurant area and very near to the train station. Across the road, to the north of the hotel, is a red-light area that is very seedy, so stay away from there.

Lebanonthe kaiserstrasse is just at the limit of the red area where you would find junkies and homeless on the streets , so better just to go through this main street without trying to walk around the neighboring blocks - not recommended area for families and kids
The rooms are quite new , the hotel is well maintained. Evan that we arrived late , there is a machine outside (looks like an ATM) where one can make an automatic check-in ( using a credit card)....just near the hotel is a restaurant that stays open well into the end of the night which is very handy given that most other frankfurt restaurants closes around 22:00

AustraliaNot a lot of information provided. I had to ask a lot of questions, which is fine, but I was tired, so would have been nice for them to anticipate some of this.
It was nice to be in a central location. The main train station was practically across the road and the restaurants around the area were really nice and diverse, which I like. There was also a supermarket across from the hotel

CroatiaThe room was definitely not sound-proof: I could hear everything that was happening in the corridors and the neighbouring room. The neighbourhood felt relatively unsafe after dark. The room looked nicer in the photos than in reality.
The location is very convenient for travelling by train. A lot of exciting restaurants in the neighbourhood. The room was truly spacious.

MexicoThe check in was a nightmare. The hotel has a tiny and easy to miss door with a self check-in machine outside. There was no mention of this situation in any of the e-mails sent from the hotel, so I had no idea what to do at first (and it was late night and the zone is kind of rough). This system might be popular in Germany but it is not in the rest of the world.
The place is clean, the breakfast is good and the location is geographically good (but is in a rough zone).

GermanyObviously the area is not the best as it's right by the train station but it's also very convenient if arriving/departing by train. The automated check in outside on the busy street did not work for our check-in so we had to ring the bell several times to no avail. Eventually other guests allowed us in and we eventually found someone to help us and we got our room keys.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had rooms 607 & 608 and the rooms seemed quite new with good bathroom facilities. Surprisingly quiet on that side of the building. Breakfast was adequate and no complaints for the price. The area is not the best at night but during the day there are lots of restaurants around to choose from.

IndiaThe place is very well maintained and directly on the main road. The office is on the first floor but all the information for getting in is described on the main door. The location is very convenient for travellers arriving via DB Bahn (Frankfurt Hbf) and local bus/bahn stops are also just 3mins walk away. Its value for money for short stays. The breakfast was minimal but fresh. There are eateries around as well.

IsraelNo air-conditioning (only heating). Could be tricky in high summer. Street parking is VERY limited. If you intend to drive, make sure to reserve a parking spot at the hotel.
Centrally located. quick access to airport and out of the city. Fairly priced. Clean and comfortable. Nothing but with all the required amenities. Convenient underground parking for a fair price.

AustraliaNothing in particular. The main door is hidden behind some reataurant umbrellas but easy enough to find if you follow google maps.
It's in a great location, plenty of restaurants on the street and easy walk to the river and Romër. The room itself was very spacious and bathroom was a decent size, clean and nice fluffy towels.

NetherlandsThe list of amenities on Booking.com site mentioned Electric kettle but there was none in our room.
Nice hotel. In the middle of city center with everything at walking distance. A lot restaurants so plenty of options to choose from. The Hotel has its on private car park which you can access from the same elevator. If you are travelling in your own car, then parking in the city center can be an issue, so its a big plus if you can park your car safely in the hotel's underground carpark. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Amenities including bath were good. There was no air-conditioning so in cooler months, its perfect, but if you are travelling in the summer like we did, it was extremely hot in the rooms and there was no table fan which most other hotels provide so just a call out if you are travelling in summer season, it can be extremely hot in the room. Other than this, a very good stay with the family. Will definitely stay again.

GermanyCouldnt sleep properly at night because of noise from intoxicated locals shouting on the streets. Had to keep the windows open since the room was very warm and there is no AC or fan facility at the hotel.
I stayed at this hotel only because it's very close to the railway station and very close to the city center. The price is decent when compared with other hotels nearby. There are lot of eating options around the hotel.
