Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe location is a little bit sketchy at nights (as all places near train stations)
The location was perfect to go around. Perfect for a budget one night stay.

PolandSelf check-in was a bit slow, I had to refresh the page several times to find my reservation. It took me a lot of time to find out how to get to my floor, this information should have been sent to guests in an e-mail. There is a really unsafe area very close to the hotel and I don't recommend going there, especially alone.
The hotel is conveniently located near the main railway and bus station. Public transport stop, shops, bars, restaurants - everything within reach. The room was clean, bright, beautiful large windows and window sills. There is a kettle, tea, hairdryer in the room - everything as needed. Attention: after entering the hotel, there is no information in the elevator on how to get to the room on the higher floors - note, you have to take the first elevator to the first or second floor, then go deeper into the corridor and from there you can take the elevator to floors 3,4,5,6,7.

GermanyI would not recommend this area for stay, the room requires some renovation (at least fresh up walls - there were a lot of marks and chips).

GermanyGood value for money. The hotel is located in a quite specific part of the city but the price for this location and amenities was definitely great. Bed was comfortable, cleanliness was alright. The room I stayed in was facing the street which caused some noice during the night (I was staying there Saturday-Sunday). Good option for a short stay.

United KingdomCheck in was a nightmare! Arriving after reception hours and you have to check in using a giant big brightly light screen on the street with no protection whatsoever so anyone and everyone walking by, sitting at the cafe or drinking at the bar can see all your personal details which you are required to enter to check in. LOTS of shady characters around. Right at the end your are asked if you want a duplicate key card so you need to ensure that you answer this question and confirm exiting the screen otherwise anyone could jump in there and print another card. Then you receive an email that allows you to open your room door by clicking a button. Felt pretty unsafe in the room as there's no door chain but I guess that prevents you being able to use this method of access which I find pointless as if travelling from a foreign country without local phone access it wouldn't work. Not sure how we would have checked in during reception hours as didn't seen any staff anywhere during our stay until we checked out and the only reason we thought we might be speaking to a staff member is because they happened to be behind the reception desk when we walked past. No identification. There's no aircon so you can't control the temperature in the room which was freezing. Slept in additional clothes on top of pyjamas and with both duvets. Looks like the whole place is a little unfinished, lots of little niggly things wrong in the room like shower door not shutting or the shower host not being attached properly with water going in all directions.
Location is good as close to train station, rooms were a good size and pretty decent

CyprusCheck in was a disaster. I arrived about 9pm couldn't get into the property. Eventually was let in remotely from the street, but when I got in had not received any codes or key access for rooms. Had to go to pub next door for an hour or so until someone appeared to check people in at reception. There as a queue of around 5 or 6 groups waiting to check-in. Not the best situation, especially after a long flight and train trip.
This was a very nice room. Compact, clean and modern.
