Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThere are too many rules which need to be followed, which is not a very customer friendly approach... 1. Reception between 15:00 - 18:00, therefore, keep in mind to organize your late check-in in advance. 2. Internet / Wifi barely works 3. Room maintenance starting day 3 4. No mini-bar and extra charge of 15 Eur if you leave any empty bottles/snacks bought from outside in the room at departure 5. The lady at breakfast was mean and grumpy. 6. Breakfast..although various food choises were available, the food was not great. Low price-value ratio. Understaffed: Reception in Bad Hotel was empty, the bar was closed and it looked as if they are tring to save every penny.
The rooms in Bad Hotel were clean and very comfy and the hotel had direct access to the Thermal Palace, which is amazing! The bathroom is very nice and clean.

AustraliaOur room was never cleaned for the duration of our stay (5 days). They said it is done every second day, but no-one ever came. Not a big problem for us but it could be for some. I think you expect it when you pay so much. The room was a little cool for us and we couldn't alter the thermostat but I understand they may have been trying to reduce costs due to the energy crisis.
We enjoyed our stay. Great location. We took a suite on the other side of the courtyard. It was a little weird as there was no-one on reception and it seemed quite empty but maybe it was just the time of year. We had direct access to the wellness spa which was fantastic. Plenty of saunas and pools to enjoy. Tip, go first thing in the morning - much less people and a little more relaxing. Breakfast was very good. Lots of options to choose from. Staff were all very nice. We didn't dine at the restaurant so I can't comment on that.

United KingdomMan in the pool area was not very helpful or polite, can’t get any drinks in the hotel, I asked for a tea and coffee they told me to go out side to one of the restaurants, a hotel of this standard you would expect to get a bar or some kind of drinks. Not even tea or coffee making facilities in the room which would have been nice.
On arrival the staff are welcoming and very helpful, lovely hotel right in the middle of town fantastic location but heard no noise, everything was clean and tidy, room was good , bathroom was lovely, breakfast was fab everything you wanted was on offer, the spa and pool is so close and is amazing but no swim wear you have to go naked, kept getting lost in there but it is amazing , good secure garage for vehicle close by

United KingdomRossini is more opulent in communal areas but the room was very dated for the money. The pillows are very soft but there are better ones in the wardrobe or can be requested at reception. Mokni was nicer inside and I wish I had booked a room there for the room style. The foyer is very unique! Wi-Fi was a little slow in this room due to distance from router.
The room (2nd floor) was large and the bathroom had a bath and shower. There is a lift/elevator. The bed was comfortable and curtains thick enough to block light. It has a fan. (no air con). The spa is close by (at Mokni) and amazing. So so beautiful. Good cafe, enjoyed it a lot. The location to the town and forest is perfect. The breakfast was good and staff very helpful. The hospital is directly opposite which was very useful (broke my foot).

GermanyThe hotel is dated and smells. Our room did not feel clean, there were footprints everywhere and some of the appliances in the bathroom had seen better days. It smelt of sweat. To get to the spa you have to cross the street in your bathrobe - for which there are no slippers. Not the place to stay in winter. Breakfast is until 10 - 10:15 on Sundays (lol). That is not a relaxing time slot. We came at 9:30 and were not greeted kindly. We were very disappointed - the spa itself is amazing though!
The Spa is amazing. Definitely worth a visit. We recommend staying in a different hotel though.

GermanyThis place is magical. The more often I visit, the more magical I find it. If you stay here, it feels like waking up in a fairy tale. There is so much love in the detail. The old buildings combine an old fashioned flair with modern amenities. The rooms, dining hall and hallways are flooded with light that magically dances on the well chosen decorations. This place is like poetry put in a hotel. Breakfast is generous and varied including a nice sparkling wine as well es fresh juices and a ginger shot that will get the most tired person going. I am particularly fond of the coffee pots. Staff is helpful and very friendly. The environment is peaceful and quiet except for the soothing waves of the river Enz, which flows directly past the Rossini building.

FranceOne small detail: the pillows were too soft (there's another one in the closet, but that one seems like it's decorative because it's too firm). Appart from that, everything was perfect.
I believe you are required to book a minimum of 3 nights to stay here, and that's what we did during the 1st May long weekend. We wanted to visit this region (beautiful!), and this was the best hotel. The lady at the reception was wonderful, we speak German very badly and she had no problem communicating in English with us. The hotel is very nice, in my opinion. Our room was spacious and clean. You have to ask to change your towels, but, honestly, we kept the same ones during our stay: at home we don't change them daily either and they were clean... Also, the towel warmer dries them pretty fast. You are connected and you have access to the Palais Thermal, which we tried just once. It was not our main point of interest, but we wanted to check it out anyway. We read that it was textile-free, and most of the places are, but the ground floor is mixed; we saw lots of people with swimming suits or shorts (as it was our case, since we're not used to bathe naked in public), but also people who were naked and no one seemed to be bothered or uncomfortable with one another. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Parking is limited but you can book it in advance and it's not expensive. We had a lovely time here and we would definitely come back
