Staff was really helpful and kind. They helped us on a difficult time, since we got stuck in Munich because of the snow storm. If it was not because of our situation, I'd say this is a perfect place to go for a romantic getaway.

No A/C or the posibillity of a mobile AC unit for the hottest days ( like they have in the reception). No fridge... the water that they let for us was imposibble to drink because it was lukewarm.. they didn't clean the room after the first night so if we eat a fruit in the room.because of the heat the leftovers already started to smell by next day. No ice machine in the building. The room isn't accessible.by elevator ( elevator goes to 2nd floor, rom is on 3rd). For the last 2 nights we couldn't fell asleep until midnight because of the heat. Breakfast was good but very boring and repetitive.

The room was clean and nice although it was quite small. Bathroom door wasn't wider then 60 cm. Good beds.

Other than the included breakfasts, we were unable to eat meals/dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. When we arrived in Munich after a 9.5hr flight we checked in and had a quick nap, when we got up for dinner at 5pm we were told we had to book ahead to eat at the restaurant. I would have thought that guests of the hotel would have had priority to dine there. While the staff were very proficient and polite - I’m not sure we had a single returned smile our entire stay. It may be a cultural difference, where staff are more focused on service than non-verbal communication and chit-chat, but it came across as a bit cold and uninviting. The last thing that was a bit unexpected for us as Canadians was the pervasive cigarette smoke - from outside the building coming in through the windows / front door, to people smoking outside door ways, to the cigarette vending machine beside the property. Again, it may be a cultural difference - in Canada it’s not legal to smoke inside buildings / near buildings / schools / parks, and those of us with allergies to cigarette smoke had some coughing and breathing difficulties when the smoke came inside.

It is close enough to Munich to enjoy what the city has to offer, and far enough away to not feel like you’re “in the city”. Its more rural and there are grocery stores and patisseries/bakeries you can walk to and established residential areas all around. We also appreciated the heated towel rack, it helped dry our towels quickly. The room was clean and comfortable, if a bit tight; and the included breakfast was lovely, lots of variety and the kids loved it.

A good hotel and restaurant, comfortable and clean rooms, and good food - both breakfast and dinner. It can get busy, so better to reserve a table for dinner. Aschheim is a pleasant place to stay, with good bus connections to the surrounding area.

Restaurant in hotel didn’t work!!! Three restaurants around was fully booked. So the only option was to buy something for dinner on petrol station 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Fire Alarm went off at hotel late in evening and woken up which was good. Striving to get out of room and hotel to joint all other guests doing the same. Awaiting fire brigade.

Breakfast very good choice, busy often. Restaurant very good busy. Parking very good. Room comfortable. Overall the surrounding area is okay to walk off a meal.
