Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe bed i slept on was a bit broken and i thought i will fall from it, however my parents bed was in super good condition. Luckily we were on the 1st floor, since my parents are a bit older, it wouldve been pain if the room was on higher floors.
Close to center, relatively cheep compared to other hotels, good options of markets, restaurants, cafes, coctaill bars in the proximity. Friendly and helpful staff.

GermanyThere were not enough lightings along the corridors and stair especially at 5th floor. No elevator going to higher floors. Table is too small and narrow. Sockets were located too far.
I like the location - close to the Hbf. It was very quiet inside the hotel.

GermanyThe road is very busy all day, so opening the windows for some fresh air is impossible. At night the street is a bit scary.
The room and bathroom were very clean, and despite the very noisy road, the room was quiet and well isolated fro the noise outside. The beds were comfortable.

DenmarkNo big problems, but worth knowing that you have to walk up to the first floor to get to the elevator to the other floors. But overall super place in terms of good value for money and location.
Very good location, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel a little dated, but it’s all very clean. Parking in front of the hotel is free from 22:00 at night until 9:00 in the morning. There is also a Parkhaus very nearby for parking, but check if the daily Parkhaus rates are per calendar day (ie. a new daily rate starts at midnight) or per 24 hours from the time you park. If it’s per calendar day, you’ll pay twice the daily rate if you park overnight, even if you park in the evening and leave the next morning.

UkraineI booked a 3-person hotel room for my son and his friend - they're 17 y.o. and needs to pass an exams at nearby Hamburg University early morning. So I need a room nearby. They planned to go with one another (3rd) guy, but he didn't go that day. After they arrived, receptionist gave them a cheapest and small 2-person room with windows to junkyard. Guys said: "Okay, but this is not we ordered. If so, please, arrange a moneyback". Receptionist refused to do anything. Only after my son warns, that they will call for police to clarify the situation, this manager-cheater changed a tone and asked not to do so, then gave a key of ordered 3-person room at last.((( That's it - nothing like this has ever happened before. Draw your own conclusions. Also district is almost arab/afgani populated, so be aware of this.
Wi-fi is okay. Rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable enough, but cost of stay is higher than it should be. Supermarkets, railway and bus station are nearby.

FinlandI did not like that the staff asked me to pay 10€ extra for the little dog that I was tracelling with. I booked the room originally for me and the pet and I also wrote in the message to the hotel, while booking it, that I travel with the dog. The extra payment was not mentioned anywhere! I think it was really unfair to do so. I was asked to pay with cash and no receipt was given, so I think it was taken illegal! Also the room was sold with the private bathroom, but the bathroom was a common bathroom in the corridor. Really not a pleasant visit at all! Felt like being fooled as a customer!

United KingdomThere was no possibility of taking breakfast in the hotel. It was a bit noisy at times at night. No tea and coffee kettle in the room either, sadly. The area in which the hotel is situated had a slightly sleazy feel to it.
This hotel was reasonably priced and good value for money. It was well-heated ( I was here in winter ) and the room I had was spotless. The guy on reception of the main hotel next door was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a stone's throw from the main station.

United KingdomI travelled with my family, wife and 10 years old daughter. We couldn't sleep at all because in the room next to us there was a party until 5 am, with drugs and loud music. For the same price and even cheaper, we have stayed in nicer places in Germany. The hotel seems more like a brothel since it is located in the red district, and in general, the neighbourhood and the hotel seem quite dangerous and unsuitable for a family. Moreover, the bed was infested with fleas, and the shower curtain was tainted with spots of semen. We raised our concerns with the receptionist, and no answers were provided or actions taken. In sum, don't stay here!!!
