How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Conveniently located, reasonable room size, clean and quiet. There is no tea/coffee making facilities, no complimentary water or limited toiletries but kettle is available on request. There is a nearby (5mins walk) convenient store to get water, yoghurt, etc. Hotel offers Free drink (juice/coffee/tea) in return for no daily cleaning service request.

The WiFi very poor and there was an offer if you opted out of room cleaning you got 2 free drink vouchers at bar which never happened 🫤
The main reason I stay in select hotel is the fact I can get apartment with my own cooking facilities so no pressure on breakfast times etc can do my own thing

TV didn't have any English entertainment channels. I expected the room to be a little bigger than it was.
Very clean rooms, lovely bathroom. Nice to have a mini fridge for our drinks. Reception staff were very friendly and cheerful, also allowed us to borrow an iron and board.

As we arrived, the reception team unfortunately couldnt find our reservation in their system, which caused stress. They only could see 1 booked room, although our booking confirmation states 3 rooms. That's been solved afterwards. 2 rooms had the same category (comfort) and thr remaining was superior. Later we have found though big differences among two comfort rooms, in one, there was a coffee machine, coffee and tea. It was absolutely more spacious, and had a cupboard. The other comfort room didnt have any coffee machine, a d was relatively smaller. As we went down to ask the reception, they couldn't explain the reason of such difference and unfortunately also couldn't provide a coffee machine, nor offered any tea or coffee to the room without these facilities.
The location is really great and practical.

Music playing in corridors remained on all night. Couldn't hear in the main bedroom, but it could be heard in the living room area where the sofa bed was. Booked a three person room, but it was still set up for 2 people. Reception provided some spare bedding, though. Carpets in room were stained and looked in need of a good clean.
Great location, rooms were good value for money and spacious. Beds were comfortable, and rooms had good double glazing, which blocked out street noise. Breakfasts were pleasant and good selection.

There were some large stains in the room, on the carpet and curtains, likely due to old age, but it wasn’t appealing. And would be great if they added a tea/coffee maker in rooms.
The location is unbeatable. And hotel is attached to a nice little dominican restaurant with awesome food.

I would recommend cleaning the shower heads or replacing them, the power of the shower is great, but the water comes out in all different directions. Also the shower door didn't shut properly so there was water all over the bathroom floor after I finished showering.
The reception staff were really friendly, they were helpful and efficient, providing me a kettle for the room so I could make a hot drink without having to go downstairs! The bed was comfy too.

The room layout was a little bit extraordinary. The windows were in the corner, so not much light was coming in. Also, there are no stairs to go to the first floor, and the one of the two elevators has been out of service since I was there in August.
I love the location of the hotel. And the stuff are very lovely.
