Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsWe were a bit unlucky with repairs at the swimming pool, which was out of order during our stay. But certainly an accommodation to return to!
Park is picturesque; small and well maintained. Very good location and well equipped apartment. Friendly staff.

United KingdomBeds were quite hard. No air-conditioning (which I knew about) but I would have expected a fan in the bedroom. Very hot at night.
Only stayed for a couple of nights but it is a good location from which to visit Bayonne and Biarritz. Ate at the restaurant the 1st night. Had the large steak sharer. It was OK but I've had better. Nice sized rooms

United KingdomAccess to the property is via a steep road (not evident from web/map views) and there is no parking adjacent to the individual houses only for loading/unloading. The whole property is located on a steep hillside (a Colline). The property we stayed in was, how shall we say, a little tired. The food cupboard was seriously suffering from woodworm at the back and the bath/shower was, while fully servicable, showing its age. There was no safe in the rooms and oddly no hangers in the wardrobe. Their website claims they provide bedding, towels and toilet paper. while the 1st 2 were provided and changed each week the toilet paper is something you must provide for yourself after the 1st 2 rolls that they provide!
A Quiet, good location, nice pool (though did not seem to be heated), easy parking just outside the property boundary but in their own area. There are also electric charging points for 4 vehicles on the property. Cooking facilities were reasonable though the multipurpose Microwave/Grill/Oven was a little challenging. There was a good selection of plates, pans, utensils, glasses and cutlery. There is a small "supermarket" in the village (Check opening times!) otherwise you will need to go to Hasparren, about 10km, for an Intermarche supermarket (good, also sells Petrol/Diesel). The village boulangerie is open Sunday AM but not Mondays and closes in the middle of the day (check the opening times on Google Maps, they are correct.)

My family enjoyed the place a lot due to a wide range of facilities available ( a swimming pool, table tennis and Netflix). The location is quiet and a walking distance from a beautiful little village. You can park your car with ease and they accept pets. The apartment was clean and small but we only stayed for one night so that wasn`t a problem. However, if I had stayed for longer I would have chosen a 2 bedroom apartment for a family of four. Undoubtedly, a good value for money and a nice place to visit.

United KingdomBeds and pillows uncomfortable and property tired, needs sprucing and modernising. Placed in a ground floor apartment and it sounded like the people upstairs were riding a horse around all night, very noisy and we didn't get any sleep.
Very quirky property in a lovely area with wonderful staff, great amenities and lovely outdoor areas. Great restaurant on site serving lovely food.

United Statesthere was a large wedding going on at hotel which meant we couldn’t use the restaurant (one of the reasons we chose the hotel) and also created a ton of noise both by the DJ and later guests who wandered back to the houses and sat around drinking and talking outside our room until sunrise. The room was hot but there was no AC and no screens on the doors or windows. they should have mosquito nets over the beds or put screens on the windows.
nice place

NetherlandsFine place to stay but it lacks a few things. Outside area is limited if you have kids. There are forests around but can be a problem if you have small kids. Rooms can be a bit noisy, especially if you stay on the bottom floor of a house. Some houses are divided into 4 apartments. They are clean, but we found some dry bread on cabinets from the previous users. The lack of airco is a big pity, the room was quite warm, but well... We knew about it. Staff is friendly and tried to help us with our early check-in. Communication is clear and fast. The village where the hotel stays is great and very nice to walk around.
