Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayNot sure how the room was cleaned as the trash from the previous guests was still in the room. However as soon as i mentioned it to the staff, they immediately came and picked it up. For those sensitive to noise, i would not recommend the rooms facing the main road.
Newer hotel, very nice staff, close to Lidl and a shopping center.

United KingdomThe rooms are small but more than enough room for two people. The toilet is quite high from the ground and if you are under 5 foot it can be uncomfortable to use. Though the hotel is quiet you can still hear a lot of banging/people walking on floorboards throughout the day and night. The hotel states it comes with heating and air con but these only work when it is between certain temperatures. Housekeeping may need to be updated as only once did they “clean” our room which was only them putting two new cups into the room, no extra toilet roll or towels but we were able to get these from the front desk.
The hotel is very close to a train station (2-3 min walk) right beside a mall with a food court and grocery stores. The area around the hotel is quiet and surrounded by office buildings. The staff were very helpful and friendly, though it should be mentioned you need to use the key card to use the lifts as it caused confusion for a number of people staying there. If you need any extra towels etc the front desk are happy to help.

United StatesThe hot options at breakfast - eggs, bacon, and sausages; their quality could be improved.
The staff at the desk, who cleaned the rooms, and those who worked the busy breakfast hours were all amazing. Loved the view from our room and the lovely pastries each day at breakfast.

IrelandOnly downside for us was the pillows were too soft like flat pancakes but then personal preference. Hotel provided additional pillows when asked.
Hotel is in an ideal location - right on the waterfront. Beside the hotel is the Fisketorvet Shopping Mall so has plenty of eating / shopping options. Across the road is the IKEA store and behind it is the Dybbolsbro train-station for ease of transport access. The hotel provides car-parking paid along the wall at the hotel front and additional spaces under the bridge just need to get the parking permit if parking there from the hotel. We couldn't fault the hotel in anyway as it was just perfect for us and also the local Sight-Seeing bus is only a 5 min walk from the hotel.

United KingdomMy mattress had a stain on it which was a bit grim, but the sheet covered it so did not massively bother me. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent at times in my room and cut out a lot. Was only ever for a few seconds at a time though. This is more nit picking but my harbour view room was right in the corner so I didn't see as much of the harbour as I would of liked, still a nice view regardless though.
Great view from the restaurant for breakfast, breakfast itself was also great and had a good selection of hot and cold food. Staff were all friendly Hotel was around a 5mins walk to the nearest train/metro station which made travelling to places easy. Tivoli Gardens also in walking distance. (C. 15mins)

United KingdomThe walls are particularly thin and I would hear the TV from the room next door. Pillows are personal preference and they only offered feathered which I do not like and unfortunately there was building or maintenance work being carried out right outside my window on a cherry picker at 8am. Whilst this was not a problem for me as I was already up, I wouldn't have been happy if I was hoping for a lie in.
The hotel was in a great location for my requirements and the room was as expected. Breakfast options were broad - cooked / continental etc and the staff were friendly.

SwitzerlandWe’ve requested on our booking for 2 single beds but upon check in, the receptionist told us that they did not received the request through booking.com even though it was explicitly stated on our booking confirmation. I found it very unprofessional giving customers that excuse then selling us afterwards their more expensive room. The breakfast buffet offers exactly the same variation everyday. If you booked for a longer period, it tends to be boring.

DenmarkIn my room I could not find a shower cap nor anti slip mat to place in the bathtube. I suppose one can ask for these at the reception.
This was my second stay and this time I booked an executive room with balcony and view over the canal. Very comfortable bed, soft towels, in addition robes and slippers were available in the room. Minibar was well stocked. The breakfast buffet was very good and there were gluten free and lactose free options. Location near train station, but if you want to avoid going up and down a bunch of stairs, you can take the bus 7A from central station. There is a shopping mall beside the hotel and they have just revamped their food court. Also, the meat district, where there are many restaurants, is nearby.
