Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe internet was weak and at times didn’t work.
The personal amenities were amazing. The bed was comfortable and the family owners were friendly and helpful. The hotel was tastefully decorated with a wine room, a lovely outside porch, and the breakfast was delicious.

United StatesI had a horrible travel day, and the staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful in ameliorating my circumstances (and mood). They even upgraded me to a ground level suite so I would not have to haul my huge piece of luggage up four flights of stairs (two floors). Kudos for empathy and heart!

VanuatuI know it is the Danish way but two single bed duvets on a double bed (2 singles pushed together) doesn't work for us. We would have loved a single coverlet
Full of character and great staff. Really good breakfast and helpful in terms on onward travel plans.

FinlandIt would be nice to have one more hook in the bathroom for two towels to dry, also a hygienic shower for the toilet. Otherwise, our experience was very pleasant. 214 euro for one night is quite pricey, but the experience was good and we were travelling in high season (July).
Our room (2nd floor, view to the street) and breakfast were very nice, we didn’t want to leave the place! The hotel has a charm, something very special that you will remember from the trip. Nice outdoor area to spend some time, and atmosphere of a historical building that is taken care of well. I like the materials used in the bathroom, really nice walls!

LuxembourgOnly one small disadvantage: a bit of noise from the road during the night. But I give a 10 anyway, as the rest of the family didn’t hear any.
We had lots of space. The apartment is furnished in a very nice style and decorated with taste. I like it to find magazines and books. Immediately in the center of Frederikshavn and near the port. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking (for about 10 cars) is in an inner court of the hotel. Our dog was welcomed too!

DenmarkIt could do with a little update here and there. Also, please don't use two single sheets on a double bed.
Small, stylish hotel in a quiet location with very lovely staff. Great little salon and terrace where you can enjoy an evening drink with your companion. Very nice bathtub and spacious room.

PolandI was a bit surprised by the shower curtains as they seemed to be normal window curtains, but this wasn't a problem. There is no lift! So if you have a heavier suitcase be prepared to carry it up a few flights of stairs.
We stayed 5 nights at the hotel and I can't recommend it enough! The room was spacious and quiet and had a good-sized TV with HDMI port, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast each morning delicious. Our windows overlooked the street but it was not noisy. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is a parking space behind the hotel and during our visit we had no problem with parking our car there. So if you're wondering where to stay in Frederikshavn - in my opinion this is the best choice.

SwitzerlandThe parking lot in the court is a bit narrow if you come with a big car. Also, there are not enough spaces for all guests. Worst cast, you can use the public parking lot right next to the hotel. It‘s free during the night, so not a problem at all.
Very nice room, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast offered a wide variety of food. All in all, my stay in the Park Hotel was lovely.

NetherlandsThe rooms, curtains and especially the bathroom faucets desperately need to be refurbished/renovated/ renewed. The cleaning should be done more thoroughly. The rooms where somewhat dank, they need to be better ventilated.
