A small hidden gem in a part of the Dominican Republic that still is not discovered by the larger public . The property itself is very comfortable and cosy . Wolfgang and his team go the extra mile to make you feel at home and enjoy your stay with them . the details in the decoration and beautiful garden are amazing and the breakfast and dinner options are first class . I recommend this accommodation to everybody who appreciates the finer things in life :) . the nearby beaches of los Patos and Paraiso are very beautiful

Unbelievably perfect place to relax and really enjoy your vacation time. It was really a pleasure to stay in such a perfectly handled hotel. It is really a luxury villa. Absolutely clean and comfort in any way. The room is grand and beautifully designed. The view from the room is enjoyable, the balcony is spacious. Bathroom is such a well designed. All the balconies and poolarea are making you to feel like in the best spa. Host, mister Wolfgang is perfectly courteous, polite, punctual, precise and speaks fluent English. All the people working there are nice and polite. Food was obviously delicious and they offer real fine-dining for both breakfast and dinner. Totally worth it all! We are really grateful we had the possibility to stay there.

An absolute oasis in the center of a small town. I really got the experience I was looking for; quiet, comfortable, immersed in Dominican culture. The food was always excellent, I felt like family I was so comfortable, my views were amazing and was even able to keep my doors open during a small storm which only added to the experience. Centrally located if you wish to hang out at Los Patos river, hit up the beautiful Laguna de Oviedo or head down to Bahia de las Aguilas. Plenty of privacy. And if it’s important to you, a very safe place to be. Also, note that I’ve a lot more photos but I’m unable to load more than what’s here.

The queen suite had a gorgeous view and great breezes. We slept with the doors open all night. Breakfast was freshly made and more than enough. You could tell they put a lot of effort into preparing. Our host, Wo, was very attentive and well as his assistant, Leo.

A most unique boutique hotel. The meticulous attention to detail in every aspect - from the impeccable decor to the above and beyond service made this one of the most memorable getaways we've ever had. Thank you Wolfgang and staff for an amazing experience at the Ecolodge Vistamar!!

It is hard to think of anything to criticize. It is a little difficult to find, even with a GPS. We had to call for directions, but someone was sent from the Ecolodge who met us at a nearby gas station and guided us.

This lodge has a beautiful view of the sea and the grounds are lovely. Wolfgang, the owner, is very helpful and accommodating. The decorating is exquisite and the whole property is immaculate. The breakfast was amazing and generous. The whole experience was delightful and deserves our whole-hearted recommendation.

Wo, the owner does the best to take of everything and he is very good. The place is amazing with a very nice intimate decoration. The food was really amazing too and I don’t write that often. A good surprise because when you arrive you are a bit surprise of the neighborhoods. But inside, you are immediately charming by the hotel, the decoration and the perfect attention of the staff. Wow, what a wonderful stay. The only thing I think needs to be improved are the photos of this place on booking.com because they do not do it justice. The rooms are absolutely incredible with some of the most unique details I’ve ever seen. The terraces in the rooms are just incredible as is everything else, down to the last detail. Cocktails, food, customer service, cleanliness, quality - all top of the line. Frankly, I think these rooms are easily worth $300 per night. Okay, it’s true that it’s not directly on the ocean but the views are great and you won’t want to leave anyway. What the owner has built there is exceptional and so unique. I can’t recommend it enough.
