Everything about the hotel (we did not eat there so no input on that) was clean and great quality and service, except: the parking garage tickets which we paid extra for never worked. We wasted time trying to use the ticket we paid at the hotel desk and then had to reissue... just pack in the lot in back esp if it is a weekend or street parking.

The hotel and room and staff were very good, even down to the towels and shampoo.

Our only challenge was the bed being a little too firm. We didn't experience problems with anything in our room or elsewhere on the premises.

Breakfast was delicious with a variety of hot and cold choices. The fresh fruit offered was excellent. The fitness facility is nicely equipped. Parking at the nearby garage was convenient. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and 1.5 blocks from multi-screen theater. We received daily service to replenish towels, cups, empty wastebaskets and restock coffee supplies. We were welcomed on arrival and received good information regarding parking, meal options and hotel amenities. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The parking lot was away from the hotel(OK, just 5 min. walk) and there was no connection, so it was inconvenient to check in and out

The parking garage was only accessible from the street. In the winter or bad weather, it would have been a problem. Also, the signage was not good on the building. It was not obvious which way to turn to go to the hotel entrance. A sign for the hotel visible when exiting the garage would have been very helpful.

The staff and the building itself are somewhat inhospitable. The blocky architecture is undistinguished, and the design of the rooms unimaginative. Overall, I feel it is overpriced.

The hotel is convenient to Northwestern University and also to multiple mass transit options. The rooms are quiet and spacious. The layout was adequate, but the workstation and lighting left something to be desired.

The price is a little steep, especially for an off-peak stay. Some of the rooms (ours included) have what can most charitably be described as a nondescript view.

It’s a great location in downtown Evanston, also adjacent to much of the Northwestern University campus and a short walk from two major public transit rail lines. The facilities are clean and orderly, and the staff members are superb and very helpful.

The restaurant closes after breakfast and no food or drink available until 5pm. The small snack “store” wasn’t very well stocked. One of 2 elevators went down on Sunday.

Breakfast was actually pretty decent. Just don’t get the big buffet. Order from the menu or just get the continental buffet. Rooms were clean. The staff was very nice.

The price of snacks was a little extreme.

Free water was a bonus. The parking was very inexpensive and also liked in/out privileges. Also liked that many places to visit were within walking distance.

More than decent hotel, clean, with staff overall friendly and helpful, spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee/tea regularly replaced, and a useful microwave in the room. I didn't try the breakfast, which is paid for separately. Prices are in line for the area. I found this Hilton much better in all respects (personnel, facilities,, cleanliness) than the other Hilton nearby, where I have also stayed a couple of times. If back in Evanston, I will certainly choose the Garden Inn again.
