The hot shower wasn’t very stable and it wasn’t clear in the description whether it was a private bathroom. But since our room was just right next to the bathroom, it was alright for us. Couldnt connect to wifi in our unit but it's decent if you sit at the communal area.

Nice and helpful lady staying with a family while running the place, if I’m not mistaken. She let us checked out late as well. There’s kitchen in the room with couches. Spacious room and there’s a shared communal balcony with amazing view of sunset as well as the historical buildings. Close to eateries, mini markets and historical centre. Great value. Wanted to rebook but they were full.

While the initial impression was positive, we encountered some cleanliness issues in our room and noticed areas that seemed neglected in terms of maintenance.

The room was way better than what we were expecting! the room is like a small 1 bedroom apartment. We had a small kitchen and a nice bathroom with HOT water! we had a pleasant stay and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating.

There was no breakfast offered. The host Paulina was fabulous. She stayed up to greet us at 2am after our international flight was delayed. The facilities were basic and clean. The location was perfect. If you only require a clean and safe location to sleep then this is an excellent value. We will stay here again on our way out of the country.

Quito covers a very huge area. We wanted authentic old town Quito and that is what we got. Many Casas are building on hills so expect to deal with hills. 2 million people live in the whole Quito area plus many tourists from all over the world visit. Always busy construction and upgrading all over.

Paulina was very helpful, friendly, caring to every question and need. She told us where to avoid and which direction to walk. So many things within walking distance. Casa was very historic and of ancient hand made wood, metal and architecture.

Perfect place to stay while visiting historic Quito! Paulina was fantastic. Our arriving flight was delayed 4 hours and she stayed up until at 4am to greet up and get us settled in our family room with comfortable beds, lots of space and a gorgeous view of the city. Oh and wifi for my teenagers! There was even a safe garage to park our rental car.

The only thing might be that the personal bathroom was just outside of the room - but I don't think it's at all the rooms and was no issue at all.

Paulina is amazing - she really would like to help you. The casa is close to Secret Garden where the free walking tour starts and trips to amazon. We could drop our big backpacks before our trip to Amazon and it was in our room when we got back after 4 days. It's also like an apartment, so you could cook for yourself if you want.

If you're high maintenance this is not the place for you, i.e. if you need to do things at a specific time or done in a specific way or can't wait a little while for a response from staff. If you can go with the flow, this place is AWESOME! (You'll need to pay in cash.)

Feels like you're staying in their guest room. No staff hovering around or trying to clean your room every day.

Wifi in the second room was a bit weak

The staff here (Paulina and her mother) were amazing. They made us feel like we were at home. We had an issue with the initial room we stayed in, and they helped to address it right away and then eventually moved us to another room. The location is close enough to the historical district, but not on a busy street.

Close to historical centre and pick-up locations of tours/bus rides. Spacious, perfectly clean rooms with character. Beautiful view. But the best is the owner, Paulina, who went way and beyond to help me with everything and made a delicious homey breakfast for me.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere, you have a great view for the historical center, and all the attraction of the city is easily approachable. The host lady was simply amazing, she is really kind and helpful.

We were there on a Friday night and it was extremely noisy out on the street
