There is no AC in the room which is really hard when humid to sleep

Super peaceful, but a short walk to town. We saw toucans from our room every morning! Water was hot, shampoo and soap in our rooms and very attentive and helpful staff.

The family that run Mindo Real are exceptionally thoughtful and helpful. We liked them a lot. They provided lots of information on arrival & throughout the stay in person & via WhatsApp. The location was great for us. 10 minute walk into Mindo, but on the edge of the forest areas with the river at the end of the garden. Lovely & quiet with a decent sized swimming pool. Breakfasts were also very good. The beautifully landscaped gardens were full of interesting plants which attracted lots of birds.

This was an amazing hotel, owners upgraded us upon arrival. Breakfast was amazing, location was perfect close to town. Owner helped with all communications for local trips. Wish I could have stayed longer! Mindo is amazing!

Very beautiful, directly connected to the forest. From our cabin we could hear the river and woke up to the sounds of birds. Good breakfast and nice staff.

The nature and the surroundings are beautiful. Great breakfast and helpful staff, they are so nice and welcoming. Just enjoy their beautiful garden with a cup of coffee in the morning. Super clean rooms with the best showers I've had in ecuador. You will get good nights of sleep because it's so quiet at night. There is so much to do around mindo real. My favorite was the feeding of the colibris. You can do it yourself while they eat out of your hand. And I loved the hiking trails of the yellow house. I liked it so much that I returned a week later to spend another 4 days in mindo real.

One word of caution, the swimming pool tiles are very slippery.

A lovely riverside garden property with a genuine cloud forest atmosphere. Our cabin was surrounded by flowers and birds. Only a few minutes walk from downtown town. Best breakfast we've had in a months travels through Ecuador. Staff were exceptionally helpful with pre arrival communication, recommending activities, guides, long distance drivers and calling taxis. And laundry service at the end of the week to top it off.

The location is excellent. Short Walking distance into town and close to all the activities. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful and lush. Grounds are well maintained and everything is clean. The staff are amazing not only professional but friendly and offer assistance before being asked. Maria is beyond excellent. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The cottage is worth it as you can hear the river flowing from your room and it’s so relaxing to help you sleep.

- not recommended to walk to the property when it's dark. There's a large, dark driveway. When walking there I encountered a stray dog. Luckily the staff came to collect me after I contacted them on Whatsapp.

It is just an amazing place, we saw more than 10 species of hummingbirds just at breakfast. The barbets visit every day. The people are really nice and the guide they offered for birds was extremely professional.

The bungalow is very secluded in the forest, the garden is gorgeous with lovely plants and lots of birds and butterflies visiting. The pool is really pleasant, the breakfast is great on the terrace, the staff is very helpful.

Everything was great. Only I would have liked to have stayed longer! It's so peaceful there that I would have liked to have more time to relax there.

Excellent place! It's just far enough away from town to be peaceful, but close enough to walk. The sound of the river made a nice white noise for sleeping. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and there is good wifi at the pool. The breakfast service was quick, friendly and the quality was high. The manager was very helpful with telling us about the area and recommending activities. She helped us when my son forgot his Airpods at the Mariposario. Her english is excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to Mindo!!!

Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and the facilities are nice. It is a bit outside the city - which was fine for us because we had a car, but might be an issue for others. It was quiet and very scenic. Shower was great, and the pool was nice.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, with gorgeous grounds and plenty of space. We stayed in the bungalows, which are huge and very private. They’re well furnished (they have outdoor hammocks!) and very clean. The housekeeping staff is INCREDIBLE. They did such an amazing job, way above and beyond the usual. The other staff were also really nice and very helpful, they even let us eat breakfast a little early because we got the time confused. An overall top class stay!

Nothing really. It is a flat 5 minute walk into the town centre, but that is compensated for by the tranquility and gorgeous grounds.

Very well managed. Maria, the manager is an exceptional host. She is very attentive to one's needs and proactive. She organized all my taxi needs and she knows the area very well. The grounds are stunning....topically lush. The pool is lovely and very private. If I ever return to Mindo, I will book the Mindo Real.
