Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe reception is down stairs from the street entrance. Although there is a lift, you first need to negotiate these stairs with your luggage.
Comfortable room, with good facilities. The reception staff provided a place to store luggage until the room was ready. The location of the hotel is great, within the historic heart of Tartu.

EstoniaI didn't like a design of room and bathroom. all was quite old, in a style of 90th. it was not cozy and nice to be there. The hotel is quite expensive, I expected better facilities for this money.
Location is very good, on a main street of old town. Good breakfast. Room was clean.

United KingdomCheap internal fit out doesn't match the grand external look of the building.
This slightly odd hotel is in a brilliant location. the building from the outside looks impressive but the fit out is really on a budget, including the room furnishings. It feels like a crossover between a hostel and a hotel. That said, breakfast was outstanding.

LatviaIt was strange that I could open the door only via link on the phone. The bed could be a bit more comfortable. Also the parking is for an extra fee or You can park Your car on the streets for 3 EUR/h.
The room was just like in the pictures, bit old-school but fine. Great breakfast for the price.

The location is very convenient, our room was quite big and bed very comfortable. We came on weekend and parked our car close to hotel for free. We didn't hear any noises from street. Soho has one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in hotel, amazing!

EstoniaAll good
Having visited previously, I’m glad to see that the quality and choices of breakfast are still excellent. Fresh croissants, ice cream, cava plus a varied choice, not just your typical continental. I’d say that you get a fancy hotel’s breakfast while still paying for a midrange one. The location is also ideal for those who want to go for drinks in the evening. The hotel does have a small car park for 15€/night but the hotel staff can show you where’s the closest street parking that’s free. (It’s like a 5-10min walk)

United KingdomI did not like the carpet in my room; it was badly stained and needs to be replaced.
The bed was comfortable, heating worked fine, the shower was good but I was most impressed by the breakfast. It was well organised so that people and staff had no need to bump into each other, there was a good spread to suit most people, but the icing on the cake was that there was sparkling wine for grown-ups and ice cream for children.

EstoniaThe bead was very uncomfortable, quite soft, and the pillows too large. That is to my own taste though, but I've been to hotels where you can choose between 3 different types of pillows, and that is amazing!
Overall pretty good hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good with lots of different options for both vegetarian and non.

EstoniaI haven't noticed before, but the music played during breakfast really effects the experience. Towards the beginning of the week, uk pop music set the perfect scene for the day, middle of the week we had some generic agitative instrumental music that made me felt a bit irritated, and on Friday one guy had to ask the music to be changed, because .... i can't remember the tunes, but they were in the lines of Boney M's "Rasputin" or sth and it felt really out of place and just gave bad slavic vibes.
The location of hotel Soho is superb. So is usually the overall experience staying there. The breakfast is yummy, the beds are soft, the TV channels meet basic needs (news vs series).
