Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Estoniathe final cleaning fee of 50 eur was an unpleasant surprise. to avoid it with 4 little kids and many rooms hovering the floor and carpets, taking off the bedding, trash, bottles ja doing the dishes quite was stressful. also there was no parking right at the door so i had to drag all of our staff multiple times while carrying the younger one. the facilities are not great for a baby - no baby bed, no baby chair so Id recommend it for families with kids starting 3 years old.
the location was great to move on foot or with a buggy. the building was historical, rooms light and the beds comfy. automatic door was nice.

FinlandFloors were a bit noisy (old house). With no aircon and +32c we had to keep windows open all night. Quiet neighbouhood so it was ok.

FranceFirst, there is self-checking except that we didn’t get the flat number nor the door code prior to arrival (unlike what was said on the welcome email). Then we were asked 50€ for the apartment cleaning while the flat itself was not even very clean, it was a bit smelly, there was spider-webs a bit everywhere so.. 50€ for what? vacuuming a bit?! Then, we were 2 male friends and there was no bedsheet on the second bed. We had to asked them to get that. They claimed it was not told to them but it was not asked from us also if we were a couple or not, there is no way we can know prior to arrival how they organise their apartment?! The apartment itself has not much soundproofing, it’s a big house with 4 separate apartments where you can hear a bit everything. The people next door (who seem to actually live there), you hear the people upstairs walking, talking, etc.. The decoration itself is minimalist, hasn’t move since the 90’s probably, it’s dark inside has cheap lights and eco bulbs. Then a quite annoying thing: from the second day on the owners were coming over to the apartment a couple times to ask for the cash for the stay. I personally thought it was paid through Booking so we didn’t have cash with us which is what we told them. Except that they came back a couple times to ask for the money, like we would leave without paying..?! On the day of leaving they came before we were ready to go since we had to clean to avoid paying these 50€… Bottom line, despite the fact that they proudly display their Booking ranking of 8.6 inside a frame in the kitchen, this flat is pretty poor and is not worth more than 6.5/10 especially for 378€ for 3 nights! I often go to Pärnu but I surely will never go back to this apartment which is more a cash machine making apartment than a cosy stay.
the owners have left a few accessories to cook like pots and pans but also a couple of pods to use the dishwasher.
