Very welcoming and friendly people are working in Cecilia hostel! They make you feel like family

I chose a room with private bathroom which was big and comfortable but the toilet was always wet and humid. However, they confirmed that they are planning to do some renovation works in their facilities to improve the quality of the rooms.

The location is great, very close to the Egyptian museum. The staff is very nice and helpful. I was allowed to check-in before time which I appreciated a lot.

Shower cap was broken, could not close one of the woden widow because of missing knob handle, old carpet should be removed at all.

Very cozy accomodation in the hearth of Cairo(close of many turistic places).  We went with 2 children and they loved it. We had a large room with 4 beds. Even if there are things that could be improved and the building looks old and bad on the first floors, the room was clean, safe and we stayed very comfortable. We liked the large terrace and the white pigeons. Good internet connection and very friendly owners. Thank you for everything.

The shower did not have a hold so it had to be held by hand to be used

Room was good size with great aircon. There was plenty of space to hang clothes and the bathroom was clean. The beds are extremely comfortable

The rooms didn’t feel super clean and everything was sort of broken. The shower was high pressure but only from a few holes. We only got 1 towel between 2 of us.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the AC worked amazingly. The staff were super nice and helpful.

The kitchen was very small, the bathrooms weren’t comfortable ( the showers).

The people were very nice. Breakfast was good. And room was big enough for two people.

The staff was super sweet and helpful. George, Sarah, David, Basem... Location is excellent. Bathroom could have get cleaned More often. Area is Not too busy but super central. Nice Terrasse to chill. We also Booked a private guide and car to the pyramids. Make sure to start early.maybe 7am-ish.

Everything is super at Cecilia. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

We love the rooftop terrace. The people at Cecilia are super friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is tasteful. Great value for money.

The spaces seem a but improvised, mattresses on the hallways, gives a feeling of a temporary establishment, but the rooms are clean and beds comfortable.

The Hostel is really well located, although the entrance might be a turn off for many people. Not minding that, you understand it’s a safe place. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely a good value for the money.

Cecilia is conveniently located in Downtown, close to Metro and bus stations. The hostel staff goes the extra (s)mile, and makes that I keep coming back. Thank you once again.

I can't express my gratitude enough. I really think this hostel is very kind to me, as they kindly responded to me [anytime you are ready] even late at night, asked me to leave my luggage after check-out, and even helped me charge my battery when my cable was broken. My room had an odour of cigarette smoke and I lived with that for three days. Even worse, opening the window is not a good idea because the room is inward facing sewer pipelines and walls instead of the streets. I can’t imagine what (cat/mouse/etc) would pop up and sneak in to surprise me when Im sleeping. It’s better to set some rooms exclusively for non-smoking allowed. That’s the only pragmatic and zero cost advice I want to mention for such a competitive accommodation choice.

Located in the old downtown and near to Metro, Museum and Nile. The staff are nice. Good view from the rooftop. Sanitary condition is ok.

Just another problem with balcony window in room, not leaking well, and if it’s not to warm outside can be cold. We don’t use air conditioner and we can’t said nothing about it.

People there are the best! Whatever we need, somebody help for us! People propose time together, talking, playing uno, if you are not interested about it, no one force you! Super place. Goood location. Foe this money, i think so everything really nice. Thanks for all!

It did get quite cold inside in winter and the showers and toilets are in the same space so they get all wet (but that happens often in Egypt).

Great location and great staff! View from the balcony is really nice. Good areas to hang out with other inhabitants.

Clean,big,airy and sunny room,bathroom big enough, good beds and bedding. Value for money and perfect location. Good working AC.

My first room was very rundown. The traffic noise was also so bad I couldn’t sleep - obviously not their fault but beware that street noise, honking, etc. will continue until 2 am and the street facing rooms (which most of them are) will be loud. Also, they could do more to keep pigeons away from the covered rooftop where they serve breakfast and/or get the typical hotel style buffet serving dishes to ensure food is 100% covered when not being accessed by a guest.

Staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean.
