A Casa Das Augas is a lovely place in the middle of the country side near Mondonedo. The place is not only beautiful and peaceful but it is run by a warm-hearted and kind host Monica. The place has been in her family for many years and it was originally a mill. I personally felt at home and wished I had stayed longer. I would definitely come back.

The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer.

Monica, the host, made our stay here exceptional and A Casa Das Augas has been by far the best place we’ve stayed. The house is gorgeous, set along calming streams of water and a beautiful and calming forest. there is a lovely terrace and a small pool to dip your feet just off the terrace. From the moment we arrived Monica was providing us with coffee and the most delicious orange cake! If you stay here, make sure to eat the dinner Monica prepares as it is truly exceptional. We stopped here while hiking the northern Camino and left early the following morning. Monica went out of her way to get up and prepare an elaborate picnic and a coffee before we left. We left A Casa Das Augas not only rested and rejuvenated from the lovely house, forest and environment, and incredible food. but filled with gratitude for the generous hospitality we were shown.

The hostess goes out of her way for you. She was really nice and super hospitable. She even picked me up while I was on my Camino De Santiago. Dinner and breakfast plentiful and delicious. It felt like home.

We loved everything about A Casa das Augas, where we particularly enjoyed relaxing in the garden, next to the splash pool and the waterway that runs under this beautifully restored old mill house, and being pampered by our amazing host Monica. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, light and airy, and the breakfasts provided a great start to the day. It was also the perfect base to get to know the historic town of Mondoñedo and its cathedral, which was just a few minutes' drive up the road. Thank you Monica, to you and your family, for making our stay so pleasurable.

The property was beautiful, great setting & spotlessly clean. The room was really comfortable. Lovely big bed & excellent shower. Breakfast was delicious, so much variety & excellent presentation. The owner was the perfect hostess.

Staying at A Casa das Aguas was one of the very best experiences of our camino. A little off the camino (barely), but so worth it. My family and a friend stayed here, in two rooms, and were delighted by the beauty of the hotel and the gardens. We enjoyed a fantastic home-cooked dinner outside, and a fantastic breakfast the next morning. Seriously two of the best meals we had during a month of travel. The hosts are a wonderful, welcoming family, so willing to accommodate our needs, truly going above and beyond. So hoping we can return for another visit soon!

I've stayed in Casa das Aguas while doing Camino del Norte and it was absolutely stunning! The room, the garden, food and views were all more than perfect. Monica is a great host, so friendly and welcoming. I'd love to stay there again some day and I would recommend it to everyone - solo travelers, families and couples!

The WiFi was good for online work/Zoom conference. The bed was great, normally in Spain to small and soft... I'm a tall guy! But this bed was perfect, the whole place is great! Definitely would come back again!
