The hotel is on the edge of a small town and is a short and nice walk from the monastery. It is a lovely place to stay, clean, comfortable, lovely restaurant with a river view. Breakfasts and dinner were great. I stayed for 2 nights and highly recommend.

The toiletseat kept trying to close on us while in use.

Room was big and spacious. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was just the right temperature all night! Great view of the spillway on the river from the bathroom. Staff were efficient.

The only catch is that the hotel is at the far end of town.

This is a first class hotel with comfortable, clean rooms as well as an excellent dining room. It has all the perks and pleasant staff. We loved it!

Everything was perfect.

This property is right on the creek and offers a small tub, hair dryers, a restaurant and a 5 euro breakfast. It is a phenomenal find for the Camino. Highly recommended.

It was a bit warm and the noise from the park below was difficult. I either had to close the window and be a bit warm or open it and experience noise from the park.

The room was clean and the staff were nice. I also liked the views I had. The location was great. A supermarket was close as was a nice cafe that opens early to serve Camino pilgrims.

The man who checked me in appeared to be "head honcho" because the other staff members seemed to defer to him.  But he certainly did not provide me with a warm reception. I had been walking the camino and perhaps looked a bit disheveled upon check-in but, still, one would like a few words of welcome - nothing from this guy.   After cleaning up and changing my clothes I made my way to the rather upscale restaurant for lunch (about 2:30, so perfect timing by Spanish standards) and stood in the doorway for ten minutes but the harried staff didn't acknowledge me, even though there were many tables available.  I left and made my way down the street to a charming pub/bar and had a warm, courteous reception there and a delicious meal. However, apart from the cold treatment I perceived in staff, my room at Hotel A Veiga was very nice indeed and the bed was extremely comfortable.   I felt it was very good value for the 38 Euros I paid.

Apart from the cold and dismissive staff, as I perceived them, my room at Hotel A Veiga was very nice indeed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is situated at the end of this small town so one must walk back in a short ways to reach the other amenities and sites. But it is well placed for leaving the following morning if one is walking the Camino.

Dinner served way too late for pilgrims, so I had no dinner.

Restaurant not serving dinner til 830pm. Its the spanish way, however arriving from walking at 5pm, is a long wait to eat If they opened a little earlier, as most of the guests were pilgrims, I suspect they would get more custom.
