The heating came on very early, and due to the type of heating, was quite noisy.

It was a lovely little Albergue, run by Marcello - who provided me with the best stamp I had on the Camino, a special wax one. Small room with 14 beds, good facilities and a communal dinner (Marcello could cater for a GF/vegan diet), it felt like we were staying with a family, everyone at the albergue was really nice.

Marcello was a wonderful host. Staying here was a highlight of the Camino where you meet other pilgrims around a lovely 3 course Italian meal cooked by the host. Strongly recommend to get a more rustic Camino experience.

This is definitely a special place to stay. If you are looking for a Albergue with a special touch, this is it. One of the main reasons I did the Camino was to meet people from all of the world and here you get to have dinner with the other guests and owner, cooked by the owner Marcello. There are rules and curfews to follow but all for the efficiency of check in/ out, dinner and for respect of the other guests. It's also right on the Camino just through the town about a 7 min walk back from the center of town. In the morning when you leave you will be ahead of everyone on the trail. I thought it was a great experience.

I arrive around 6 p.m.(a bit late) so you have to call and wait a bit. But it’s reasonable because he has to buy ingredients for dinner.

The bed has disclosure sheet though a bit transparent. They have heater so very warm inside. And they offer hair dryer if you ask! Also the dinner was nice for pilgrimmers to enjoy and have great conversation.

The lack of a relaxing space other than the dormitory beds. There is no lunch food avaliable and you are a little out of the tiwn centre if the weather is bad.

The homely, quirky, friendly atmosphere. The welcome by the host, and the wonderful home-cooked pasta.

The price for pilgrims dinner could be a bit lower or provide with equivalent food amount.

You can wash your clothes and dry them outside, there is a terrace outside of the hostel and some chairs you can sit. The host walked Camino himself and provided a waxed stamp.

Marcello is a great host. He was tired when I arrived on my Camino, and yet he was funny, shared about his own legendary caminos, and even fixed my blisters up. That is the kind of alburgue I was hoping to find.

This was our first experience with an augergue with bunk bed accommodations. We were very impressed with Marcello's warm welcome and thorough orientation to get us settled. The facilities and accommodation were good value. We especially enjoyed the homemade Italian meal that enabled us to get to know other Camino pilgrims - including Marcello who has done several pilgrimages himself.

Great albergue, away from the town, and right on the camino, perfect for a head start the next day. Marcello, the host was very friendly and accommodating and gives the best wax stamp that I got on my camino! For €15, you can also join in for a pilgrim dinner cooked by Marcello- which was delicious!! The rooms were cosy, with a plug and light at each bed. Sheets and blankets were available. There were also 2 bathrooms to use, the downstairs one being the less busy one. I enjoyed my stay, felt really comfortable and enjoyed meeting other pilgrims.

The hostel doesn't open until 13:30. I arrived an hour before this and wish I could have showered and finished laundry earlier.

I read a lot of reviews that the owner was unpleasant. I found this to be completely untrue. Marcello was kind. Although there were only 2 bathrooms for 20 beds, this was not a problem (though there were also only 11-12 people staying during my visit). It was also a nice touch that the beds all had privacy curtains, and there was a fan in the room.

There were too many bunk beds / people and just 2 bathrooms. But this was very clear at the onset so it's fine.

I love the property owner.... very welcoming. And the fact that he offered to have a communal meal with the other pilgrims. This makes the Albergue experience more meaningful.
