Only 2 female toilet/shower combos and close To 50 beds meant there was always a queue for the toilet or shower. The restaurant guy would not put on the heating because ‘‘it’s not Cold’’ - I guess you feel the cold differently when you’ve been walking in the rain all day! The radiators never came on which meant we had to carry wet clothes with us the next day or Pay €5 to use the dryer.

The hostel side of the Albuergue is very nice. Big lounge area, comfy bedding, nice ladies running the place. Each bed has a charging station and the toilets and showers are combined in a single room which is great for privacy.

Expensive laundry service (5€ each for wash and dry), very cold in the common area downstairs in the hostel, so cold that our clothes didn’t dry overnight while hanging inside.

Private bathrooms with shower/toilet, very clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds and duvet blankets, nice windows with natural light, good food in the restaurant.

Not enough bathrooms for the amount of people staying.

The layout of the beds with their own lamp and charging station was fantastic.

Great stay along the Camino! Exceptionally clean, nice facilities and they even have an orchid in the ladies restroom! Laundry service was quick and had the best smelling detergent!! The restaurant/pilgrim menu was very nice and the outdoor patio area made for a fun area to meet others! Great choice.

    Nothing to complain about.

One of the best albergues on the Camino Primitivo trail as it merges with the Frances (near Melide). Great premises, good food, even had a small swimming pool for the hot days we visited. Staff were knowledgeable on dietary requirements and it was very clean and spacious. Lockers were provided and there was a good ratio of bathrooms, toilets etc per number of beds. Looks like other guests from other albergues drop in for a meal at this albergue.

Not many vegetarian options on the menu (though this is common on the Camino route)

Very clean albergue run by kind and helpful staff. Bathrooms were a combined shower and toilet so more privacy but meant an occasional wait to get in. Food at the restaurant was great.

I liked everything! Glad I didn't stay in Melide while doing my Camino Primitivo and went to Boente. An excellent albergue with nice and clean rooms. The food at the restaurant is mouthwatering 🤤 Try their hake with potatoes.
