There was nothing that I didnt like but will point out that it is a good 20 minute walk to the centre of Leon - but I knew that before I booked, and it suited me to be away from the crowds.

One night in shared dormitory. Room was a little cramped but the bed was comfortable and there are lockers to store your rucksack etc. Nice pleasant hostel with clean bathroom, hot water and well equipped kitchen (if into self catering). There is a washing machine, a sink where you can wash clothes by hand and an outside area to dry them after. It's on the route of the Camino Frances just before you hit the city of Leon, so convenient if walking the route. There is also a bar on site

Issues -- none of these may be important to you. 1) Although the kitchen is quite functional, with a 3-burner stovetop, small microwave, cooking gear, and a variety of house spices, there is NO GUEST REFRIGERATOR, a major omission for a hostel. During my stay it was just cold enough outside that I could leave my perishables in my car. Also no oven, so if you're planning on roasting a chicken, forget it. Curiously, although the kitchen is well stocked with place settings, it has no cups or drinking glasses. 2) The only common lounge has lots of tables and hard chairs, but no couch or comfortable seating and only a few electrical receptacles. 3) The dorm beds are steel rather than wood meaning touching a bunk ladder makes a very loud noise, likely disturbing sleepers. Individual beds also have no light or power.

I give the albergue 5 stars because it is such an outstanding value (€12/dorm bed, early November) and for its overall quality despite having some curable deficiencies that MIGHT be dealbreakers for some prospective guests. The premises are attractive, there's a cozy bar, an available extra cost breakfast, a functional kitchen (but see Issues), nice bathrooms, and easy street parking. A supermarket is a 10-minute walk. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Wifi is good but one of the several placards giving the password has it in capital letters, which is wrong. Others are correct. After 10:30 PM there's no staff onsite, so if you go outside be SURE you have the door combination with you or you'll be sleeping on the sidewalk.

A bit noisy as room faced onto community meeting area. Also motorbikes starting in the morning were very loud.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good bus service into town. Large kitchen if you want to cook. Local restaurant Sauce had fabulous food if you can wait till 9.00, snacks and drinks in the bar and garden all day

Every guest was stuffed into the one dormitory instead of spreading them out over a few rooms.

For me the location was perfect because I didn’t have enough strength left to walk further and I knew that I could take one of the bikes to cycle into the town centre.

The outside sinks, out of three, one was working and it was a bit of a wait.

It was clean, lots of toilets and showers, bedsheets and pillowcases. All the things you expect in a hotel but at a low cost to you🤗

It's quite far out of town, but everything else is good, maybe even worth the extra distance. The price is great, VERY affordable.

I was booked in a shared dorm, but developed a nasty cough that I didn't want to pass on to anyone else. They kindly gave me a private room at no extra charge, even though I offered, and was happy to pay the difference. The kitchen was great. It had everything (except a fridge), that you may need; the lounge was large and very comfortable. It also had very good laundry facilities. The place was very clean, and the staff were all great

it’s far away fro the center, and the coffee machine wasn’t working when I left early, but I found a Repsol station my way out to get my coffee fix

VERY Friendly staff and nice kitchen with all the spices, cook top, micro wave oven and cooking utensils. My room was spacious and sparkling clean. The albergue also has a nice bar. The lady owner also arranged a taxi ride to La Virgen Del Camino for the following morning. A very good experience for both me and my wife. Thanks.
