The view of the church from our room was really nice. We sent on a package 2 weeks ahead and they happily held it for us until we arrived. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Charming little family run hostel. We had a room with a spectacular view of the Santiago cathedral on the 2nd floor. Small but very comfy room, and clean. Breakfast was really good, and we had a nice discussion with the charming host. We were given all the tips we needed where to get. 500m from the Cathedral yet in a quiet area. Can fully recommend.

Hostal Alfonso is a small hostal near to the Plaza de Obradeiro (200 m, 5 min walk). It is very comfortable, although the rooms are small. The ones at the back site have a beautiful view of the cathedral. The hosts are very pleasant and serve a good breakfast in the morning.

The host was lovely and very thoughtful. My plane was delayed and there was someone to let me in at 1am. Breakfast was lovely and set me up for the day. I had a room which had a view of the cathedral :)

Exceptional service. Warm people. Felt like home away from home. Very accommodating since I didn't speak the language. I spoke in English. The breakfast was great. Rooms, checkin service good. They took the payment on the last day which was good. Rooms didn't have a kettle but they provided with a warmer which was helpful. I loved the decor of the house. Everything was good. I truly enjoyed my stay and would higly recommend the place Hostal Alfonsa. Location is very convenient to the places of interest and public transport.

My room was on the top floor and had a fantastic view of the cathedral. The location was close to the centre of Santiago. Breakfast was included so was good value for a three night stay after finishing the Camino. The bed was very comfortable with a really good mattress.

Cant think of a negative. Maybe bed a bit small but as I am tall I find that in a lot of the smaller hotels.

Loved the location. A two minute walk to old quater, Cathedral etc. Very nice family run small hotel. Excellent breakfast. Loved the decor of room and view of the Cathedral.
