Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsAs a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago a little expensive but gave the perfect overnight for a rest day in the city.
Perfect apartment in centre of Logrono. Self service entrance - instructions were super easy to follow. All communications with owner were easy and clear.

IrelandNot a dislike exactly but Iit was not what I expected. They are 4, serviced ensuite bedrooms located on the first floor of a building with a cafe/bar on the ground floor with the same name. No receptionist or front of house, just the a member of staff that tends to the rooms. In terms of value, we secured a good price for the 2 nights. Knowing what I know now, I would be reluctant to pay anything over €200 considering that the only physical staff was the cleaner. Having said that, it served its purpose and is, altogether a clever concept for accommodation.
The decor is very chic with a hint of 1920's glamour. Room was clean, excellent shower and a very large and comfortable bed. Huge TV. Room was considerably bright despite the window from the bedroom facing into an interior courtyard. The correspondence with the staff via email and text was very efficient and provided us with the necessary instructions to access the premises and rooms, which is all done with access codes. Good storage, small fridge, coffee making machine with the tiniest of cups. No glasses but managed to borrow some from the cafe on the ground floor. Plenty of parking available nearby, both on street or underground car parks.

United StatesCan’t think of anything.
Well located and very comfortable accommodations. This is a self-catering place, so if you want staff to welcome you, this is not the place for you. Parking is super convenient across the street. Breakfast was included from the cafe below, and it was great, too.

United StatesIt was a little confusing to check in, since you do everything online, and you have to have a phone to make phone calls ( not just data)
It is located in a center of town, walkable to many restaurants and shops. Room and bathroom were clean and good size.

AustraliaThe host free digital check- in is efficient but impersonal. Not speaking with or meeting anyone dulls the personality of the place, even though it’s good value and a great place. No views, and a dirty light well off the bathroom.
Really clean room in terrific location. Complementary breakfast in the IBIZA bar/restaurant downstairs. Big TV. Nespresso.

United StatesNothing. You do need to have phone access as you have to call a local number each time to enter the main part of the building where the hotel is located.
This property was very nice, clean, and nicely decorated! The check-in and check-out was all contactless with a code to enter room, which all worked very well! The hotel was in a fantastic location-very close to the old town. Would highly recommend!

SpainThere was no notification that we would not have a reception. When we ran into our first problem of not having heat, so one responded to our text messages for 2 hours; a nerve-racking experience as the temparature dropped to 2 degrees that night. Their system, which was not explained until the day we arrived, involved entering by calling a telephone nr. That created some anxiety that we were not prepared for. The following morning, because there were no treads on the shower floor, I slipped in the shower causing my elbow to slam into the glass (luckily it did not shatter), and my knee into the train cover which snapped into pieces. I awoke this morning with incredible lower back pain, which I attribute to the fall in the shower. I could hardly walk to work this morning and I am in intense pain. I am standing at my desk as I write this because I can not sit properly.
Very central location. Helpful bar manager in the restaurant downstairs.

United KingdomThere is no one available at all day to day which I don't think was made clear at the time of booking. The service in the restaurant was absolutely terrible, as was the food. The bar staff were extremely rude. We left to seek alternative accommodation for our last night in the area. I emailed the hotel for assistance although did not receive a response.
The room was clean and comfortable although a little claustrophobic. The location central although loud as it is set above a very busy bar.

United StatesThe check in process was very awkward. The language miscommunication could have been handled better. It was very city chic, but the entire point of staying at a luxury property in a foreign city is to have a concierge and/or a front desk to help you navigate the city and help with restaurant bookings and local information. This property is essentially just an overpriced air b and b, you are on your own. If you are fine with that, then that is what this is.
The restaurant was unwilling to honor the breakfast coupon after the breakfast time. We had jet lag, so we were still sleeping. It was extremely frustrating not to be able to get the food we were entitled to.

Everything else was a bad experience in regards to no toilet paper, the minibar not stocked, nobody responded back to me and the bar staff at the Ibiza Restaurant was very rude.... I've been in Spain for 2 weeks now and this was the only place and time i regretted staying at. I travel alot and this was the worst overall unfortunately.
The bed wad comfortable and the bath was amazing!
