How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

You have to walk steps with your luggage to get to the elevator. The twin room is very small.
The location was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was at the property and served buffet style.

Was a bit noisy in the evening on the street outside with partygoers (it was saint Patrick’s day) then fairly early in the morning with delivery trucks

Parking is off site and getting a car to the hotel for loading requires negotiating several streets that prohibit tourist vehicles. We saw others unloading at the hotel but we elected to drive straight to the parking deck and wheel our luggage the 4 easy blocks to the hotel.
The room was comfortable and had a sizeable private balcony. The hotel is lovely and in an excellent location. It is about 2 blocks from the large Cathedral, minutes’ walk from and most of the town’s major historical attractions, and 4 blocks’ level walk from parking. There are great restaurants within a block of the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is good and reasonably priced.

Can be a bit noisy because it is in the city centre and rooms are a bit dark because buildings are very close to each other. Breakfast could be better.
Staff were very helpful and location is fantastic, you are in the centre of the action. Bed are comfortable, it is very clean and well maintained.

We didn’t have the breakfast, so we cannot comment on that. But we really don’t have any negatives to say.
We had a spacious room with two twin beds, as requested. The lobby is lovely and even has outlets available for charging devices while you relax. The location is very central to everything, including close to the bus up to the Alhambra.

A little more than one tea bag or coffee in the room would have been nice but these may have been available on request had I bothered to ask.
Lovely hotel, just off a main transport route but quiet & well situated for the old town with it'sbars & restaurants, the albacin & the path to the Alhambra Palace. Reception staff were really helpful & knowledgeable.

We loved the valet parking which is usually a pain in most old cities. Cathy at the front desk was super welcoming and so helpful. The location was perfect and we found a wonderful place for a lovely american style breakfast at Gran Cafe Bib-Rambla in that same named square.

Difficult to find as travelling by car because of the road restrictions in Granada. Although the hotel had given us excellent driving directions we still got lost! No complaints about the hotel though. We had pre booked valet parking & all went smoothly with that.
Central location. Very near lots of bars, restaurants & shopping. Close to bus stops & taxis. Bedroom & bathroom very clean. Lovely comfortable beds & good quality sheets etc. Big fluffy bath towels & good shower. Reception staff very helpful & informative.
