Seemingly an old country house forgotten on the outskirts of Santander, caught in a time warp between motorways, complete with perfectly manicured trees in the car park and knights armour. Friendly, clean, helpful.

The bathroom in the quad room had no shelves and nowhere to put anything. This means everything is on the floor. This could be very easily fixed. The tap fittings were also loose and no bath plug but again easy to solve.

One of the staff spoke good English and gave good advice on travel into Santander and using the bus. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable but we stayed in the quad room and the double bed is a double rather than king size. This was ok but a bit tight with 6ft 3 husband. No air con but there is a fan and radiator. Great parking for car and our folding caravan. Continental breakfast cereals/ toast/ coffee/ juice/ also had alternative miks which we appreciated. Ok selection especially for the price €3 for children and 5 Euros adults. You are short walk to the bus stop to get to Santander and taxi was 12-15 Euros. It's decor is quirky but we quite liked it. Small Local town is in walking distance had a few restaurants and we got a great menu del dia for 12 Euros.

Access to the hotel down a lane is a little tight if you met someone coming in the opposite direction but don't let this put you off.

A clean and tidy stopover in a quiet location for a night before catching the ferry. It's an easy short drive to Santander beaches or to the ferry port from here. Continental breakfast included was adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loads of onsite parking.

Hotel in area with no other amenities...only 1 small bar ..so no option to eat close to hotel

Location not too far from airport, large car park ( for those arriving by car) plus close to bus stop to get to city centre. Reasonable range for breakfast. Breakfast staff friendly and helpful.

No lift and we where on the third floor. Difficult to navigate to and nervous drivers may not like the narrow back roads. Quite some distance from most attractions in the area but this was reflected in the price. Not an ideal stop over if you are not in your own vehicle.

Lovely clean family room, nice bathroom, balcony and a decent view with windows to the side of the house as well as the front balcony [top floor]. Excellent price which offered value for money.

The room decor was not very modern, but that is not the style of the hotel.The children loved the knight’s armour. Initially slightly difficult to find, but fine once we knew where to go.

Lack of fruit at breakfast

Was a well appointed room from an era of history, 4 single beds and a large bathroom. No plugs in sink or bath. Lovely view from from the windows of the bedroom. No air con or fan. Breakfast was ok €4 for toast of various breads, croissants, cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts. My only complaint was my daughter is gluten and dairy free and there was nothing she could have, I wasn’t expecting gf equivalents but there was no fruit was available.

Issue with the bathroom in first room which was quickly rectified. Rooms are perhaps on the small side for 2 people.

The staff couldn't be more helpful. We had an issue with room bathroom and they soon found us an alternative room. The breakfast was great value for money. While located about 3 km out of santander the local. Bus service is reliable and inexpensive. The hotel is in a quite suburb peaceful and well stocked gardens. Definitely stay here again. A very pleasant stay with free parking on site.

Only a very high pillow which was too big and uncomfortable to lie on. No plug for sink or bath Some might not like the dated decor but it was perfect as a one night stopover before catching the ferry the following day.
