How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

This accommodation has everything that a pilgrim would need. Breakfast cereal, milk in the fridge, a washing machine and drying rack, a sunny balcony, comfortable beds, even a stocked medicine cabinet.

The apartment is well furnished and everything is clean, neatly arranged and beds are comfortable. The owner is such a sweet lady. We arrived early and was tired after a long walk. She allowed us to check-in early so that we have proper place to rest and settle down. She constantly checked on us to make sure we are ok and always offer her service to help us if we need anything else. My friends and I are very glad that we booked this apartment and having a good support from the owner. Thank you for all your help. Wonderful place to stay.

Our confirmation explicitly stated that someone would meet us on location. However, when we arrived at the building after a long, tiring walk carrying rucksacks, we discovered a WhatsApp message telling us to retrieve the keys from a bar a little further on. The owner hadn't gone out because of an emergency, but because of the heat! We never met her or saw her and received none of the help mentioned by other reviews.
Spacious, well equipped flat virtually on the Camino. Nice to find a few breakfast items.

We were three so one of us had to sleep in a top bunk. After a more than 20 km walk going up a metal ladder is not pleasant but the bed was comfy.
Very clean, across the street from the Camino trail. Good hospitality, water, coffee, milk, cereal, ice and toblerone popsicles in the freezer was a nice surprise. She must have done the Camino to understand how we were feeling when we arrived.

Loved everything!
Great apartment right on the Camino. Great use of space, very comfortable for 4 people. Loved all the details like cereal, coffee, milk, and lots of area information. Also Noelia, the owner, was so lovely and super helpful with dining suggestions and sightseeing options.

Miscommunication on where to pick up keys and find our apartment. But Noelia sorted it all out very quickly. She was very responsive and helpful.
Very close to the Camino. Very clean. Lots of supplies and laundry!

the location is not the greatest (close to highway, industrial feeling) even though your view is on the river

The appt was large and had all appliances for our comfort, and our host stocked the apartment with coffee, tea, cereal and milk, which was awesome. It's also right on the Camino.

Along the Camino we slept at different places and here we had the best mattress.:) The flat was very clean and cozy. Felt like home for our stay. Noelia was very nice and helpful. She made sure we have everything we need for our stay.

we got off on the wrong foot with the owner. we could not find the accommodation and she thought we wanted to check in early. after a couple terse phone calls all was sorted. the accommodation is only a few meters off the Camino. it was clean and comfortable. we cooked in the apartment and had sufficient pots, pans, etc. it can sleep up to 4 people and we recommend the accommodation
