Breakfast was good, with a wide menu on offer. staff quickly cleaned up after guests left, preparing for the next arrivals. We visited the Hotel, under different ownership in the past. We were pleased that standards have been maintained. The decor in the Apartments is a little dated. However, we must say that we had a very pleasant stay in the hotel.

The stay here was amazing. The hotel was very clean and quiet. It has its own supermarket on site or a supermarket not far from hotel. Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The beach was also nearby.

If you had been located lower down the complex, that could be difficult for any one with mobility issues. The Bar was exceptionally expensive, this was a pity as only a few people used it. The restaurant is only buffet style now, not al a carte as before,(the Beef wellington was amazing in the old restaurant cooked by Tom) They no longer do a Sunday roast, which is a pity as it used to be the best in Matagorda. The shop was closed on a Sunday and had very limited products compared to before it was taken over by Ilunion. There was some confusion with staff over the hire of pool towels, some staff insisting you needed a new slip each time you returned your towel, for a clean one. The shower head was not great needed to be a large head, as in all good hotels/ apartments we have stayed in

We had booked the Breakfast it was amazing, good quality, excellent choice, freshly cooked. The rooms were beautiful, cool and our location was perfect The staff were amazing, reception were very helpful, nothing was a problem. The pools were lovely and clean and accessible to everyone. They had a lift for people with mobility needs. The sun beds were comfy and pool towels were provided free. The lovely girl in charge if the restaurant was so friendly a breath of fresh air.

More evening entertainment or children's entertainment would have been brilliant. There was music in restaurant every second evening for circa 2 hrs. We went in May, so maybe it improves in Summer months.

This is a lovely hotel cannot recommend it enough, staff everywhere reception, restaurant/bar, house-keeping are so friendly and helpful. They are very accommodating and really work hard. We were half board (breakfast & dinner), great selection of fresh food, replenished very promptly. Stayed in 2 bedroom apt, comfortable beds, plenty of room for 4 of us. Complex is very accessible (wheelchair /child friendly) and safe. Met a lot of other Irish visitors at the complex who have been returning there every year.

Nothing apart from being flung out of my original room due to other guests being idiots. But I was OK with getting room on own. Plugs needed near mirrors as no plug near mirror in 2nd original room

Couple staying but had two single beds even though the hotel was almost empty. The beds are VERY uncomfortable just to warn you. The TV does not work. They don’t tell you this, they wait for you to contact them and then we were told that they are waiting to sign up to a new TV provider. There’s no channels that work at all - they were aware but don’t care. Luckily we didn’t need it as WiFi was good - except once you check out that stops working

Staff were very helpful and really nice. Location was brilliant close by to lots of bars and restaurants and the beach. Food at the hotel was delicious especially the bbq on a Tuesday. Our 1 bed apartment was really spacious and beds very comfortable.

The bar person was not friendly, the access to the bar from the pool is not good

Having to leave apartment at 12 midday the day we were leaving. We had a late flight and if we were allowed to stay in the apartment for another few hours, it would have been very helpful.
