How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Apartments are a bit small if you like spacious places, but for short stays or perhaps 1 to 2 adults is fine.
The location is the best. Good attention.

The apartment is on the small side for a family of three. If you're used to have plenty of space and if the stay is long, it could be a bit tight, but we only stayed 2 nights and it was very good for us.
The location is great. Everything on the doorstep. Only few min walk to the central market, 10 minutes walk to the Nord train station. It was very convenient for us to stay there. The receptionist attention was superb. Thank you!

We had one cleaning for the stay as per contract. However, the cleaning ladies came at 2pm, it wasn’t convenient for us then, because the kid sleeps at this time, but they didn’t come back later or the next day.
We had everything we need. Location is perfect, quiet street, but also like 10 meters from the Main Street with restaurants. We were traveling with our 1.5 year toddler and the terrace was of great convenience for her to play outside.

A bit too small twin bedroom. Not a real complain, but there are no salt/paper/oil in the kitchen, so you need to have your own if you are planning to cook.
Location, staff, timely and concise communication before and during the stay, modern furniture, kitchen appliances.

Had some plumping issue occurring the last night. The toilet seemed to had a stop beyond our bathroom.
Location in the centre. Parking available. Very contemporary check in facilities, including mobile app. Well equipped.

There is an espresso machine but the coffee provided was for one day. I bought in the store later but generally is strange they do not offer for additional charge.

The parking is accessed via a pedestrian only street, which is a bit stressful, especially when you see a police car behind you! You have to drive your car into a very small lift to reach the underground spaces and manoeuvring your car into one of the spaces is quite tricky. Finding accommodation with parking in the old centre of Valencia is difficult, but this is not for large cars or the faint hearted!
Great location for exploring the historic centre of Valencia, a beautiful and interesting city. Timely and efficient communication from the hosts. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Would highly recommend.

Two Nescafé capsules provided - for two people staying two nights seemed paltry - no milk, nothing else! . Happy to self cater but a few essentials to welcome guests would feel more hospitable. Albeit the supermarket is very close as are lots of places to eat. Bathroom is very compact.
Location was great. Clean and comfortable.

There was not not enough room in the bedroom to access bed from both sides. Bed was pushed up against the wall in order to fit in the bedroom.

The details and instructions for accessing the apartment were very last-minute and the full address was not clear. As a result of this we went astray and it took us much longer than it should have to find the apartment. We did not receive the last email with full address until the next morning.
The apartment was extremely clean, the towels were changed during our six-day stay. The location was perfect. The staff in the office were professional and helpful. And, as our flight home was in the evening, we were able to leave our luggage in the office until leaving.

As I was arriving after the office was closed, they sent me an email on the day of arrival which gave me instructions as to how to get in. I was asked to download an app and follow instructions. It didn't work even though I installed and deinstalled it several times. I then called the telephone number that was in the same mail and the lady gave me a code which initially didn't work as well. After quite some time, I finally made it in. I have lived in many hotels around the world and this the most ineffective and inefficient way of handling a "late" check in (I arrived at 7 p.m.)!
The room was clean and had everything that one needs for a comfortable stay. Although the flat is located very centrally in the old town with a lot of bars and restaurants around (5 restaurants within 100 meters) it is not loud at all. This due to the fact that it is in a small side road. If your trip is based on visiting the old city, this flat is ideal. On the other hand, Valencia is a very small place so you can walk or take public transport to get everywhere.

We ca hear the next door neighbor talking.
Location is the best, walking distance to all the attractions in the old town. The underground parking garage is very helpful. The bed is very comfortable, the shower water is strong enough.

The location was central in the old city. Easy access to public transport (use Sumo card). Access to Estacion Joaquin Sorello by bus 31. The property was very well appointed, very comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Very good comms and response times. The key app works well and makes access even easier. Good food nearby - recommend EatMe.
