Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe apartment is handy for the seafront and some of the local waymarked walks. The local bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable.

United KingdomAs above, inconvenience of key collection, this would deter me from using these apartments again.
We knew the hotel & reception was a fair distance from the airport, but having taken a taxi from the airport we decided to arrive at the apartment location with cases/bags and the other adult walk to the hotel. It’s up steep hill and approx 25 mins fast walking. When you depart the apartment you can drop the keys off in a box in the hallway. It would be so much more convenient for the hotel to offer a closer pick up point for the keys too. This would encourage me to book these apartments again, but for this reason I wouldn’t book again. Having said that, the alarms ideally located to LlaFranc resort, one road back from the seafront, a lovely supermarket opposite, a patisserie next door and lovely restaurants on the doorstep.

United KingdomBeds take up all the room so nowhere to put things, no drawers or shelves. Same in bathroom, nowhere to put anything. We should've taken tea towels. Can't always wash up every cup and glass in the dishwasher. Parking space very difficult for Renault Captur. Anything bigger would be impossible.

CanadaNeeds updated. Cushions on patio chairs are very thin, ripped and dirty. There is a lot of water damage on ceiling and walls by the fireplace on some serious black spots up in the corner. No basic bar soap to wash hands. Never could find the garbage/recycling so used city garbage cans. No matter how we tried to shower (in tub or in shower stall) always ended up with copious amounts of water on the floor.

United KingdomThe key collection. You had to go into the next village to collect key at a hotel reception. Not good if you arrive by transfer or in busy summer traffic after a long drive. Really think the owners need a much better system, and they did not answer some messages when we were on our way, trying to figure out collection. To be fair to them it is clearly stated on confirmation but easily overlooked.
The location is good and the parking is amazing, given how busy LLafranc is in summer. The apartment is good, a little tired in some decor, but everything you need. Good balcony and outside space.

United KingdomLots of little things let the apartment down. Street very noisy of an evening and with deliveries in a morning. Poorly equipped kitchen with not one teaspoon, cracked/heavily chipped crockery, no chopping boards. Bathrooms tired with main shower room shower screen having to be wrestled closed when you wanted a shower. All small things but when you're paying £1550 for 5 nights you expect a little better.
Great location for access to Llfranc beach, being just a 30 second walk away. Apartment was clean and was big enough to accommodate 4 adults and one child comfortably.

United KingdomNothing for the price we paid.
Llafranc is beautiful and the location of the apartment is very central (one street back from beach). The walk to Calella de Palafrugal, and beyond, is simply stunning. The climb (up a lot of steep steps) out of Llafranc is more than rewarded by the views and the shade from the trees as you walk the 'corniche'. I looked at the location of the apartment on Instant Streetview before the drive which helped me easily locate both the hotel for key collection and the apartment itself (about 1 mile away). The apartment was well equipped and the beds comfortable. We had a balcony off the living area which was perfect for breakfast and a nightcap. The apartment is in the centre of town, so some delivery van noises could be heard in the morning but otherwise the street was as quiet as could be expected for mid June in the middle of such a busy tourist town. Doubtless it will get noisier in the height of season. The shower room is tired and could do with updating but it was clean. We had a problem with the toilet in the twin room and, apart from not receiving a phone call to keep us updated, the host could not have done more to find a plumber to effect the repair. It was a nuisance but, hey, no-one's fault. The main issue with the apartment relates to the underground car park which, due to the location of the apartment, is nevertheless an absolute luxury. However, do be aware that the entrance is steep - sufficiently steep to 'ground' large cars. Having read others' feedback we were aware of this and, as our car is a standard family car size, assumed we would be ok. We were - but only just. It nevertheless, required a lot of manoeuvring to get the car reversed into its slot for an easy, forward facing, getaway. If you own a large estate car, this property is sadly not for you - unless you park somewhere else (but where?).

GermanyThe parking space is in the basement, and the exit ramp is pretty steep and narrow, it was a bit stressful to park even if we had a small car.
This appartment is next to the main entrance of the village, one minute walk to the beach. The appartment was good, as advertised, and with everything one would need. Clean and tidy. We just stayed two nights and didn´t really cook. There is a parking in the building, accessible with the elevator, so very convinient.

United KingdomOne key provided for 6 adults. - having to pay 30€ to collect key on arrival. Shower in one of bathrooms hitting off wall and water running along ledge thus soaking floor. no bath mats. we had to request extra keys and were promised to receive them next morning. had to call again as no one turned up. eventually received another key and bath mats in afternoon. suggest a key pad would have been a better arrangement thus saving us money in having to collect them

United KingdomOne of the en suite’s had an awful smell which was very off putting - but as there was only two of us we didn’t use it and kept the door shut.
The location to the beach and the size of the property was really good. There were two doubles with en-suites and a open plan living/dining area. The balcony had a table and 4 chairs and over looked a side street. We were out of season, and felt the price reflected this so were happy with what we paid. There is secure underground parking with the apartment which was really useful as it gets really busy in the summer months and parking in Llafranc is a nightmare. Collecting the keys was simple - we had to pick them up from a hotel in Calella de Palafrugell. However, this could be an issue if you don’t have a car.

Czech RepublicWiFi in the appartment was actually useless. Signal was available just if few spots near the entry door, but weak, unstable and very slow.
We had appartment on the ground floor. It was really nice and spacy, two bathrooms and three bedrooms, living room with fully equipped kitchen. Location is excellent, right in the middle of the town, short walk to the beach, good restaurants all around and small supermarket just across the street. Small private parking in the basement of the house is a great benefit as Llafranc is a popular place without many public parking places available. Fully equipped, spacy and comfortable apartment. Excellent location.

GermanyThe flat was not very well maintained, with moldy shower curtains, the upstairs bathroom door not closing, and the curtains half-falling off. the owners were not responding while we were there (automated holiday message) - don’t get me wrong, everyone deserves to have vacations, but it would’ve been great if there was someone else we could’ve been referred to rather than getting no answers at all to our questions ;) in general though it was a good flat and experience.
Close to the beach, spacious, had all we needed, and was generally clean (despite some maintenance issues, see below) came with a welcome pack of detergents and basic equipment which was really nice Easy, contactless self-checkin and a nice experience!
