Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MoroccoThere was mud is the walls of the room, also the furniture is very old, there were two huge desk chairs that made no sense in the room and were taking so much space, the walls are so thin that we can hear everything that is happening in the neighbouring rooms as well as the noise outside. The wifi was very slow and kept going off at night
The staff is very friendly, the location is impeccable, near the metro station, gran via is at a walking distance and everything js close

SpainThe celaning room was so bad and the receptionist Halana was really unpolite and in a bad mood as I asked her that the room was not cleaned and the local time was 17h. She got mad and was a little bit unpleasent to me.
It was really good located, near to the mostly landsmarks of Madrid.

United KingdomThe bathroom needs updating but if that happens I suppose it would cost more to stay there.
Quiet apartment despite being in a very busy area of Madrid which has plenty of a great locationcafes and restaurants. Also on the metro line directly from Chamartine railway station. Also same line to get to the Bernabeu stadium for Real Madrid match. We were also able to walk to the Gran Via and Plaza del Sol. The staff at reception were exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

United Kingdomthe only downside to this was the room walls were very thin so was easy to hear people walking up and down at night which could be an area to fix.
It suited everything I was looking for, to be in a place close to everything within a 5 to 10 minute walk and right next to a metro. It had amazing restaurants only a minutes walk away and the room was good enough for what I was there for.

SpainThere was a coffee machine in the open kitchen but it was not possible to buy single capsules. An easy service to provide to guest so they don’t have to go to the supermarket and buy a whole bag.
Upon arrival we paid 20 € more for a much better room on the 4th floor. The one we booked was very primitive without any atmosphere. The one we upgraded to was very different in all ways. Nice atmosphere- nice bathroom - nice decoration - so much worth the extra money.

United StatesBeds a little soft. It is a 2-3 star hotel, but this place is a great deal for Madrid.
Great location 15-20 min walk north of Sol. Next to Tribunal metro station, metro good for trips to/from airport and various train stations. Room large, beds comfy, kitchenette with kettle. Good bathrooms. Reception desk with helpful folks. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. I would stay here again. Hint: Buy the 10 ride metro ticket, you can share. Airport ride requires you add a 3 euro supplement per person, on day of use.

SloveniaMy room had two office chairs instead of a sofa, it was a bit weird, to tell the truth. It can get a bit noisy, as the walls are thin and if your neighbors are not very quiet, as mine were, you'll have to listen them talking and watching TV. The interior may be a bit shabby but I guess with this price and at this location it is still a good deal
The location is great; you can walk to Plaza Mayor or Palacio Real easily; it is well-lit by night and has plenty of shops and restaurants around. The reception is 24 hours, very friendly and helpful. The beds were quite ok and the bathroom was clean. Some people will find a small kitchenette in each apartment very useful.

PolandThere are only stairs from the reception to the first floor and from street level to the reception. If you are traveling with small children or a heavy suitcase, it may be difficult to access the hotel. The facility is not suitable for people with disabilities. During your stay, please keep in mind that there is no restaurant in the hotel, so you will need to go out for breakfast. Additionally, there is no kettle or coffee machine in the room, so you won't be able to make hot tea or coffee in your room.
This hotel is situated right next to a metro station, making it perfect for trips around Madrid. Its excellent location allows easy access to the main art museums. Additionally, there are plenty of shops located near the hotel, making it an ideal choice if you're coming for shopping as well.
