The place is nice but it would really benefit some proper maintenance (no hand dryer or hair dryer) and deep cleaning (mould in the shower) Facilities, missing. They make fuss (they ask for extra charge) for changing your towel/bedsheets even if you’re staying longer than average stays (I stayed for a week). Lastly, I didn’t like their policy for “late”check in, check before booking.

Lady at reception and male cleaner were both delightful but there was a very rude man at reception desk when we checked out.

Comfortable single beds. Large kitchen/dining area. Fridge and freezer. Quiet hostel. Airconditioning in the rooms. Awesome location very close to cafes, central market, Valencia cathedral. Would definitely stay here again.

No daylight. The bathroom tended to flood. It was due to careless people as I never managed to flood it but all the same it was dangerous some nights with the amount of water on the floor.

The staff were absolutely amazing. I had a problem when I arrived, nothing to do with the hostel, and Rafael sorted it out for me within two hours of my arrival. I cannot thank him enough. The dorms were nice and the beds comfy, no bunk beds. The kitchen was plenty big enough for the guests. The decor was exceptional.

With excellent memories of my prior stay at this hostel, I was sorry to find a new surly office/front desk functionary. Contrary to the ever-helpful middle-aged gentleman working from the office - with an eye on the front desk - and the very friendly and attentive cleaning lady I had come to know at my prior visit, this man was uncivil right from the start when he just answered my 'buenos dias' with an unfriendly face. I left it at that, ascribing it to a problem he was facing at that moment. But when he kept his sour face and arrogant behavior over the next days I avoided the front desk whenever I saw him there. In the afternoon of the day of my departure, I went to the front desk to retrieve my luggage that I had left there earlier that morning. I waited a while as no one was present in the office or to be seen in the adjoining rooms. Then, seeing my luggage through the glass wall at less than a meter distance and not wanting to miss my train, I just stepped beyond the front desk and grabbed my belongings. Now, ready to leave, the grumpy functionary - I never thought of him as an employee since through his demeanor he gave the impression that he was the owner - appeared from within the hostel and with a loud, commanding voice scolded me for having dared to take my stuff and break the hostel's rules. It was as if I had committed a crime. I explained to him that I had to leave and asked him to address me respectfully. Upon which he opened the front door and just told me to leave. I just had wanted to do that, and excusing myself with my friend who had come to see me off for the chap's rude behavior, we stepped outside. As they say: good things don't last.

The place has this 4 to 5 meters-long dining table that promotes sociability among the diners. These might be complete strangers but are more or less forced to socialize, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie that everybody enjoys. It reminded me of the taverns in Swiss villages where you sit at a table where someone else is already sitting and it is frowned upon when you sit at your own table, as if the company of the already present guests is unwelcome. The location of the hostel in the center of the old city made it a pleasurable surprise each time I walked outside and found the baroque architecture of its buildings, the polished - often marble - sidewalks, and the amiable character of the other pedestrians. It explains why various guests at the hostel were there inquiring about the possibility to move to the city and why the prices of rents have gone up more in Valencia than elsewhere in Spain.

Sound isolation in the rooms can be improved. The way you take for the toilet passes from the kitchen and the common area.

Everything was good in overall. Staffs are kind, location excellent, equipments for kitchen are compact.

Didn't affect me but limited check-in hours seemed restrictive and could be prohibitive for some potential guests

Stayed in a 5 bed dorm - no bunk beds which was a bonus but room was spacious so didn't feel cramped. Comfortable enough bed with small table and light. Bathroom facilities are of a high standard and there is a large, well-equipped kitchen and a further common area. Friendly, helpful staff and great, central location. Good value for money too.

Barriers between beds are not so wide. My roommates were cool, so it wasn't a problem for me personally.

Great location close to the city center. Bathroom was clean. I could leave my luggage before check in and after check out for a couple of hours without paying for it.

The fact that the showers and toilets were all in the same room. Doable, but if alone you might be anxious if someone will go inside.

The accommodation was surprisingly good for a hostel, it was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Even if we slept for one night only, me and my friends managed to sleep quite well! The location is okay, the prices were amazing, really cheap! Would recommend for a short stay in Valencia
