How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It would have been good to have had a safety deposit box in the room.
Location, friendly and helpful staff. It was great to have a fridge in my room - I wasn't expecting that. There was always plenty of hot water.

A lot of noise from outside revellers from local discos and bars, which we believe close at 06.30 ! We struggled to regulate the air con but that could have been our problem, needed to open windows and hence the noise.
Location was great and room was very clean and comfortable. They arrange a free tour with a local guide which was very good.

The hotel is tired and tatty looking As soon as we walked into reception our hearts sank, The bed is not comfortable, the bathroom is cramped. We booked a basic room regretfully, I am a level 3 booking genius and this was a mistake for me. The photos show the higher level rooms which I assume are much better than the basic ones. They would need to be. I looked in a couple and they looked more like the photos on the site, I cannot recommend a basic room sorry
The location is great, nothing else was to my normal standard of booking. Zaragoza is a lovely city

The AC was really weak / didn’t work so tried to stay out of the room as much as possible as it was just so uncomfortably hot. The bed was more of a camp bed than anything else and a small double. You can hear literally everything from the other rooms and corridors (every noise / activities / shower). Reception staff were to the point.
Great location and really good value for the price. Lovely coffee in the mornings. The free walking tour organised by the hotel was great.

Nothing.
The Reception staff were very informative and helpful. The room wax very comfortable and with a fridge. We also loved hearing the cathedral bells. Everything was straightforward and easy, so much so that we enquired about staying another time later in the year. Thank you for helping us to have a great start to our Road trip adventure of northern Spain and what a great city Zaragoza is!

Everything besides the location basically was quite bad.. Just walking in the front door you can tell it's a budget hotel aimed at making money and no one really cares for the experience of the guests. The hotel is cheaply decorated, poorly lit, the walls are so thin we felt we were part of the squeeky bed in the room next door (..yeah) or any conversation in the hallway. The door to our room didn't properly fit the doorframe which meant beams of light coming into the room from the hallway in the night (we put a towel at the door in an attempt to block the light). The bed was a very firm spring mattress, very uncomfortable. We were allowed to bring our dog but had to sign a whole policy for him - telling us it's an easy way to make extra money rather than allowing people to experience travel with their furry friends.
The location of this hotel is great, right in the city center of Zaragoza. The room was spacious and the bathroom OK though outdated. They did put a bowl in the room for the dog which was the only nice or attentive detail.

All was good
Location was exceptional right at Pilar, parking provided 1 min from Hotel. Staff friendly and helpful and room very nice clean and comfortable worth every penny.
