The bathroom didn’t have a extractor fan so could be smelly when using toilet

We stayed in the royal level which was adults only and very discreet, pool was not busy plenty loungers the buffet restaurant was fantastic great staff service and made to feel special. Food was fresh and top notch premium quality, room was nice with good air conditioning bed comfy, only thing was no fan extraction in bathroom so smells lingering when used! Location was good not noisy area

if had pick one thing just to fill the box, it be the television doesn't have much choice to watch, English wise.

Very ideal quiet hotel that is situated very local to bars, clubs and the beach. Beautiful outside dining area, spar supermarket few minutes walk, ideal if staying self catering. Pools on both hotel sites I stayed Adult only, but had all used of all facilities.

the gym was small and very busy at the times I went, there wasn’t enough equipment to go around. It was be really good if the equipment at the CrossFit area could be used during the time classes were not going on

staff was amazingly friendly and my room was big and super clean. I went half board and chose breakfast and lunch and it was lovely.

As I said the property was perfect

The property itself was beautiful, as were the staff, and front of house, the place was spotless. However the last palmas airport, was a HUGE disaster, Ryanair , the security, was all over the place. That will put me off returning to Gran Canaria . Though I will definitely continue to visit Barcelo resorts in the Canary Islands. Such a shame, we felt like herded cows at a market, Ryanair staff were shouting at their clients, and the security staff at the airport were so rude and horrible to especially the older clients going through security.

There wasn’t as much to walk to as we hoped but a quick 10 minutes taxi took you to Maspalomas

Rooms were absolutely spotless, as well as all the other areas. Staff were friendly and always keen to help.

Everything was absolutely amazing! One small thing was that there was no option for one king bed so we had to take 2 beds which were pushed together.

We stayed at the Royal Level and this is highly recommended as it was a lot more quiet and a more relaxing stay. The property was really well kept and clean, the rooms were nice a spacious and the beds were comfortable and the pool area was really amazing with lots of chairs available. The food was good we loved the breakfast as well as the lunch menu and the dinner was also good with lots of variety. The best part of the hotel was the service which was incredible. Luisa who was serving drinks at the pool was amazing and made our stay at the hotel really nice! The staff at the reception and restaurant were also very kind and helpful!

We booked a 4 day stay with half-board Royal Level. We had a relatively pleasant stay, however the quality of the room did not meet our expectations. The renovation to the room was poor, we were expecting a higher standard of finish. Some cupboard doors were missing. The shower trap had a bad smell coming from it and the black mildew was an eyesore. We stayed at a Barelo hotel in Tenerife and found it to much more appealing, with a nicer quality of room. For the meals served at La Palapa restaurant, we found that the service could be better. Staff constantly chatted to one another while serving and not acknowledging the guest. We felt more welcome at the Tamarant restaurant, where we dined a few times. The activities were fun and the hosts were very energetic and engaging.

We enjoyed everything from the hotel. The convenient location, the open air restaurant and the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Last but not least everyone from the staff were amazing. They really made pleasant stay for us. I’d go back to this hotel on my next trip to Maspalomas

What not to like? :-)

The location was great. The general look of the hotel, the room, the garden, the swimming pools, and the restaurant, was fantastic. The people who worked there are amazing, from the receptionist who did our check in and check out, the very friendly and lovely cleaner of our room, and the superb waitress at the restaurant (Mariana). A special thanks to all these people who have made our stay unforgettable! Excellent food too.

We came for work, so the internet could have been a little bit faster. The fridge in the room could have been a little bit colder, and there was no extraction fan in the bathroom. But these are details.

Good value for money, good food and friendly staff. Ample space around the pool and a big and comfortable room. The child-free concept suited us fine.

Coffee delivery took far too long, on one occasion we had finished our breakfast, 40mins. Hash browns an fried eggs took far to long to be replenished too.

The constant cross-fit class availability. The instructor was very knowledgeable and pulls no punches.
