Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalJoint single beds. Several items in the room, in disrepair (chief among then the dreadful soap dispensers)
Big rooms with balcony. The included breakfast (and dinner) were great.

AustraliaWasn’t really a vibe, they had plenty of activities, etc, but everything full short in terms of an authentic experience, considering everything on hand to make our stay lovely. I would reccomend for peeps that want to lay by a pool, and not have to think of anything.
Great place, clean, comfortable

Portugalhuge hotel. so huge one can get lost (including children) and most of its facilities (restaurants, bars, pools, etc) were closed during our stay. On check in they could give us more information about what is open and what is closed.

PortugalOur room was in front of one of the entertainment stages and there was much noise till midnight which was not ideal with such young children, please place families with young kids away from those areas. Places to place the towels around the pools were not enough with so many guests. But these were minor inconveniences, overall we really enjoyed our stay!
Amazing staff, good value, very good pools and entertainment programs.

SpainVery crowded. We had the impression before arrival that it'll be much intimate, but we found a hotel with more than 1000 rooms... A bracelet that each of the guests has tu wear to be identified as a guest hotel and to which plan he belongs ... Didn't like at all being marked! Took it of on the first day!
Great variety of food options. Very nice beach near by. Although the size of the resort, it is well coordinate. An amazing gym. The hotel has an App, where you can communicate all your doubts and necesities.

PortugalThe bar could, especially in the pool during the day, have a better quality in terms of beverage and more variety in terms of food, the rest, perfect.
Good organization for the number of guests. Food on point with different options to choose. Good cleaning services and animation during the day, in the pool area. Excellent if you have kids. Excellent controls of the beds reserved in the pool, so that no one would reserve would reserve them while on breakfast or going to the beach.

PortugalMost services around the pool were closed (due to low season, but the hotel was full, so anytime you wanted something you had a long line to get it) You have a restaurant assigned for ALL your stay, even though the buffet changed everyday, it isn't exactly what an all inclusive looks like, the covid excuse cannot last forever. The hotel entertainment was the worst service I've watched in an all inclusive. The music started always at the same time with the same playlist with the same dance moves...
The pool was good and, the beach access was pretty good too. The room was enough and the little balcony was a must 😉 the hotel was nice, but it doesn't justify the all-inclusive.

SpainCheck in could have been a bit more friendly and informative. Restaurants were very busy at times and food often wasn't hot especially at lunchtime.
Great aircon and sound proof rooms. Plenty to do and lots for children of all ages. The highlight was el Cale restaurant, some of the best Italian food I've ever had!

SpainI wish the resort was clearer about what areas are available to you prior to arrival. The website boasts having several pools, multiple restaurants, and entertainment but if you are assigned a room in one wing of the hotel, that is the pool and restaurant you have to use for the all-inclusive. Also, in certain months, there's no entertainment on-site. And getting snacks or a meal can be tough outside of designated meal times. Not to mention, we had to wear one of those pre-adjusted plastic bracelets the whole week we were there to indicate our meal plan level. For an American, this experience at an all-inclusive resort was a bit different and not as "the customers always right/luxurious" compared to all-inclusive experiences in the Americas and other general hotel experiences. But we had a great time regardless, once we adjusted to/understood the rules.
Breakfast was great with lots of variety and we really enjoyed the pool and the beach. The grounds are well-kept and beautiful, and the beds were firm and comfortable. The shower also stayed nice and hot with good pressure.

CyprusOvercrowded resort type hotel. The quality of the food is average and most of the dishes are blunt in taste. Always overcrowded at the restaurant during all meals. Too busy and noisy at the pools. The beds are very uncomfortable. The most disappointing thing were the torn bath towels. Overpriced parking for such a hotel. Needs a bit walking to go to the beach especially with a baby. Overall the hotel should no way be rated over 7.5. in booking.com as usual is overrrated. I don't recommend for couples as is to noisy.. by the way the nightly price on hotel site was cheaper that on booking.com site

United KingdomThe air conditioning was not working in the hotel and the snack bar was closed, possibly in the latter because it was early season end April and early May.
The hotel is a large unit in a group of three with underground parking at 6E per day. It is aimed at families and if we had carried out more research we could have stayed at the Barcelo Mar just down the road, which is more of a standard hotel as opposed to a resort hotel. That said the hotel facilities were fine as was the dining room food; the restaurant offers free wine and beer, which we only discovered on the second night. The long sand beach is about 5/10 minutes walk through the woods, which separates the hotel from the sea. The nearest super market is about one kilometre, there are two small shops opposite the hotel.
