Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLift is old and small so just something to be mindful of if you have luggage and/or multiple people, you can only fit a couple of people at a time with bags.
Host was very accommodating, meeting us at the apartment with keys. Apartment was spacious and clean. Great location for our needs.

ItalyThe walls are very thing you can hear every room conversation. The dryer wasn't working, and the sink was clogged, something wrong with the pipes and the building is a bit old, the light in the kitchen kept flickering.
Spacious and clean, wifi connection is good. Equipped with plates and toiletres. Also beds are very comfy and the location is very central, close to everything. All rooms had a ceiling fan to keep you fresh during the night.

United KingdomOnly 1 pillow per bed was a struggle.. I suffer from migraines and without support my neck with hurt and lead to migraines.. All of my kids use 2 pillows at home and only having 1 meant they didn’t have the best sleep. The beds (I find this is most places within spain) are very short, I am 5.5 and I was okay however any taller and your feet would be right at the end of the bed. The kitchen is manageable for a couple of days however is not very well equipped. The bottom of the walls the paint work is peeling and flaky, made no difference to our stay just doesn’t look nice. The walls by the beds in a couple of the rooms were very dirty (looked like hair product or something had transferred as was in the rooms with the beds by the walls) the sofa is just too small for a property that handles a 9 person occupancy. Only held 4 people Max. (2 adults and 2 children) was very expensive for what it is, size is great however the property is in need of updating.. Kitchen exceptionally dated.. The hot water was not working when we arrived and I was told I would need to call the boiler company (number on the boiler) and arrange for them to come and look at it which I thought was disgraceful.. The ceiling fans were THICK with dirt, we actually had to get up and clean 2 of them ourselves as 2 rooms did not have freestanding fans so we needed to use the ceiling fans. Lots of windows within the property that lead to the inside of the building and noise definitely bounces, would not recommend if you are a light sleeper.. The lift is very small, dates, shaky and would be best described as an old wardrobe. We could only get 3 people in at a time (comfortably) and being on the 4th floor after a long day we wanted to be able to use the lift but most of us opted to use the stairs (approximately 60 steps) as we would need to use the lift in small groups. The city tax is steep and have never had to pay this before in an air BnB. The £200 deposit was standard.
The layout of the property was fantastic. We were a group of 9. Myself, my partner and our 3 children (6,9 & 13) my daughters best friend (13) my partners brother (23) and my sister (38) and we all had enough space without feeling uncomfortably on top of one another.. 2 bathrooms within the property meant we were not waiting for somebody else to get out. Also meant I could put both kids in the shower at once after a long day.. The location is perfect very close to 2 different metro lines (that we used) no more than a 10 minute walk (with a moaning 6 year old) and we could get to anywhere using these lines (some changing was involved) there was a beautiful bakery near by that sold baked good and savoury goods. Along with a place that sold divine churros.. Lots of coffee shops near by and at least 3 (small) supermarkets close by (2 minutes walk) Lidl was a 6 minute walk. And we found 2 larger supermarkets approximately 6 minutes away. AC in the living area and ceiling fans in all rooms were a nice touch. Also provided freestanding fans and quickly replaced one that was broken. We opted to get public transport the whole stay, choosing to get a pass from Barcelona airport train station for €11.50 (per person) which allowed us 10 journeys (each) and lasted us the 3 days travelling each day.. At Barcelona metro we were asked to pay €38 for the 3 days for travel however we did not wish to use the busses.. You are asked to pay for all children over 6 in Barcelona however they said we did not need to pay for our 6 year old..

SerbiaThe elevator is a bit small. No dishwasher and no oven. Air condition was not present in all rooms. A centralized air condition would be better.
Location was really good, and the host was really cool (or at least the girl that met us). It's a cool place with plenty of light. Not really luxurious nor special, but pretty cool for us (9 guys).

United KingdomThere was only one pillow per person. Only 2 sets of keys for potentially 9 people, not nearly enough. One inadequate bin in the kitchen Appliances that didn't work Blind's in one bedroom couldn't be pulled down.
The bed's were comfortable, it's was clean, the location was good for exploring the city. There was plenty of room and it was airy and light No air conditioning but plenty of fans. It was a reasonable price

HungaryThe moldy part on the bottom of the wall. The single room bedroom had no window. Some of the rooms had no wardrobes or drawers. There were 10 beds in the apartment altogether, but only 6 forks, 8 glasses, etc. The bathroom doors were hard to close. There were not enough toilet papers, I had to buy it for ourselves. We were living a normal life, nothing special, but got a message from the company that the neighbours are complaining about the noise, and if we don't change that, they will lock the 200 Euros deposit on my card. We were 9 people.. You can imagine, we were whispering and going on tiptoes afterwards.. not an ideal vacation.
The location is great, really close to the metro line, that takes you to the most sights. The beds were comfortable.
