    Perfect location. The apartment was perfect for our needs. Would definitely stay again

    Communication with the owner was very poor. On arrival to the town, I received a text message from the owner demanding cash on arrival or bank transfer with was not in accordance with the Booking.com agreement. I had intended to pay by card which had been confirmed as acceptable. It is also safer to use than cash. His text message was rude and very inappropriate and made me doubt what was going on. Also, the owner got the arrival date wrong, believing I was arriving a day later, much to my surprise! He also said he tried to take the money before I arrived by couldn't, hence why he was asking for cash, but then later said that payment was to be made on arrival!! It was all a mess! A message was sent to me via booking.com on the day I was travelling but understandably I wasn't checking emails at that time and wouldn't expect to. The owner argued with me over text, this even before I had checked in. I only had my card to pay so it caused me immense stress. I asked the owner to call me to resolve but he did not. I later found out that he was away on holiday and the person who checked me in could not speak English (not her fault) but this meant that some information on the property could not be relayed. My stay at the property was for 3 nights. On the last night I had still not heard from the owner re payment but had received an email from Booking.com saying that I had checked out without paying! Obviously a complaint by the owner, but the fact was I was due to check out the next day so the complaint was untrue. I then had to call Booking.com to let them know what has happened and to relay the truth... On the day of checkout, I paid by card (!!!) so it appears all the inconvenience caused by the owner was for nothing. He was able to take card payment all along! I have to say the whole debacle ruined my holiday and was so so unnecessary. The customer service and transparency is lacking at this property.

    Location suited my needs as it was close to family. Spacious apartment.
