How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Breakfast was basic and the bed was really hard. But loads of places to eat out and some people like hard beds.
Loved the staff, location and cleanliness.

Location at the Northern gate of the Picos de Europa National Park. Very convenient for hiking the area and the staff was super friendly. The menu prices are reasonable and the food is excellent.

Only one pillow and mattress was a little bit too hard for us.
Absolutely fantastic location, right in the heart of the city. Clean, great facilities and bar. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They even held our bags for us on the last day. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location was excellent, within an easy to the old part, the central shopping area, and the Guggenheim Museum. The underground parking was tight but very appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room overlooking the river.

There was a weird smell in the room and told us that was because of wall painting smell.

perfect location between casca vieja, guggenheim and transport bus to airport for a half day stay travelling through. Quiet room, twin beds, good shower, everything serviceable. We didn't make use of the cafe or garden.

Cat smell in the top staircase
We took the deluxe double with balcony and had a 20m2 terrace for ourselves. We saw the city from the old town to the Guggenheim, fantastic.

Great location and friendly, accommodating staff. Everything is within walking distance and public transportation is close by. Rooms are clean and comfortable. House restaurant/bar is very convenient.

A good size room which was quiet, spotlessly clean, bed comfortable with good lighting & and sockets either side of the bed. Bathroom clean with a good shower. Location was perfect, on the river, with all main tourist attractions in comfortable walking distance.

The ad says there is parking on site and whilst that is still technically true you may want to rethink using it if you're claustrophobic or have a bigger-than-average car. The way the parking works is sometimes they have to lower your vehicle on a lift to -2 and the entrance of the lift is already tight as it is, but it is also slightly offset from the entrance of the garage. You have to be really confident in your maneuvering skills and patient. For 18€ a night is not bad and definitely better than the 24h parkings outside, however you might wanna consider your options if you're not sure about using the parking.
Very convenient location, close to the center and downtown and pretty much anything you need. The rooms are comfortable and cozy, and if you're lucky to stay in one of the rooms in the front you also have a beautiful view of the river and the city. Facilities are clean and functionally great, warm water and AC for cold or hot nights. Even though it is paid separately, there is a small cafe/bar located in the reception level of the hotel, which is run 24/7 so you can always expect someone to help you with what you need.

Breakfast was very basic, one kind of cheese, one kind of ham, no eggs, no tomatoes, no cucumber. Room was to the front and very noisy, however when window was closed it was ok.
Location is great, all is very much walkable. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
