How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Perfectly location , modern and fresh. The only negative thing was that 10 bed room nr 101 was too small, no place at all when 3 people were at the same time. Would be enough with 6 beds

The 8 person mixed room I was in was felt quite small and squashed together. Also, the bathrooms need more hooks and surface space to put your belongings while you’re showering and the showers do not drain that quickly so it gets a bit wet in the bathroom but I didn’t have it too bad.
The hostel staff were really friendly, gave you lots of advise and were always there to help. The hostel was really great for meeting people. The communal area was nice and social. They also provide a free evening meal every night for guests who would like it. The hostel was clean and had everything you needed.

It’s can be quite crowded in the common area and it’s a bit uncomfortable to shower because there isn’t a lot of space and only one hanger
The staff is really friendly, there’s free dinner every evening, good location and comfortable beds

Had the best time at the Black Swan in Granada. I was surprised by the free meals in the evening, which where delicious, saved me a lot of lonely and is a great possibility to get to know people. The staff is very friendly and consists of people from different countries so you can improve your Spanish or just speak English. Lena even spoke German as I do and recommended some good places in a few nice chats we had. Highly recommend

That shower door which have been mentioned in some reviews will probably become one of the funny specifics of this hostel. Rather bulkier guests should not enter the corner shower, they might not get out of it again. :)
One of the best hostels I have been to. All three receptionists treated me with great care and were really willing to help with whatever I asked them. Great quiet location, 24h reception, stylish design, clean, spacious room (at least the one for 4 people), nice kitchen and common space, comfortable beds with curtains.

The showers get water all over the bathroom floors.
Amazing hostel. The staff are fantastic. A great lounge area to meet new people and hang out. Loved the atmosphere.

Everything was well managed, I really enjoyed my stay. It has the hostel vibe and the free diner every night was a surprise to me. I hope they keep on giving the same service all the time. Clean, fresh bed sheets; inviting and very helpful stuff at reception. I met a girl in the morning /with glasses/ and chico from night shift, thank you guys! On the wave I also booked Black Swan in Sevilla, also great!

I think the hostel is new so there was a lot of construction and there was a lot of bad smell. And the room is very small for 8 people, i think.
The location is very good, the staff is also very good, there was some activities in the evening which is very nice for a hostel.

The alarm (fire system?) kept ringing and was bit disturbing
So grateful for being the first guest of this place. The stuffs are very friendly and helpful. Sam suggested me where to visit, reminding me to bring umbrella in case of raining, recommended me which restaurant to go and flamenco show. Therefore I had a great time there. Also Gabriel (if I remember his name right, sorry in advance for my bad memory), he cooked me nice crepe for farewell. This is so warm. Thank u

Staff is perfect, all of them. They were helpfull, positive. Also for two evenings they organised free dinner, it was really very nice, and delicious. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is available and all equipment.
