Spa is very little, 2 chairs, jacuzzi, 2 saunas. I guess it's enough but not super relaxing. They also mention there are no towels at the spa and you need to pick them up from the pool... Really? Does not make sense to me why you can't have 10 towels at the spa since the pool closes earlier in the summer. The spa is also outside of the hotel so if it's cold outside, it's an issue. The pool is not heated and the water was pretty cold. Cannot estimate how much it would cost to have a heated pool and if it's worth it for them or not. Absolutely no drinks included at dinner, not even water. You have to pay every time after dinner, UNLESS you pay 50 euros at the reception and they write you have credit on your key card. But the reception doesn't tell you this when you check in. There is a small arcade in the hotel with a silly game, where you put in a euro and you may get a phone or a keychain. I think it should be removed, it's not good for kids and it always makes an annoying sound when you pass by. The airhockey discs were chained to the table which makes it hard to play. I don't care people take them, so the price we pay, you should have 100 of them on hand. These things make the hotel seem cheap. The hotel staff didn't communicate very well through booking. Not sure if because of the language barrier, but I asked how to get there specifically and their reply was train or bus, I would have liked more specific details. Checkin process took longer than I would have wanted it.

Quality of food was very good and enough choices were given. Beds were comfortable, room was big. If leaving before 7 am, you can have coffee, water, fruits, biscuits to go. Location is very good, 1 min from the beach, 2 mins from a supermarket, lots of restaurants and shops around. Bus station close by. Bus to Portaventura park, 2.20 euros per person. For taxi we paid 9 euros, it's under 10 minutes away by car or bus.

Everything was fantastic! The rooms were spacious, clean, decorated beautifully. Overlooking a sparkling pool. Pool area was fabulous too!

The Blaumar is placed centrally in Salou just a few mins walk from the beach. We stopped here on route from France to Spain and parked our car in their very safe spacious car park at 15 euros a day. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The bedroom was huge and extremely comfortable with an incredible power shower! Both breakfast and the buffet dinner were excellent with a good choice of foods. Everything was very fresh and plentiful. The wine waitress was very helpful as well. The spa is small but very clean and it added a bonus relaxation to our stay. We didn’t use the outdoor pool but it looked lovely and clean as well. The evening entertainer was an Elvis impersonator had a superb voice and was great fun to listen to in the bar lounge. He even managed to get several of us up dancing!

Terrible pillows long and thin tried 1, 2 and 3 but could not sleep, sore neck, had to use sofa cushions! One big let down was the gym - not only is it tiny, it was closed on Sundays and Mondays for cleaning!! We stayed on Monday & Sunday so could not use it, or the Spa as same opening hours!! Dinner was good with plenty of choice although the steak was extremely fatty and cod dish with potatoes sat in an inch of fat/butter. Breakfast was good but not great. The hot options such as sausages left out on serving platters were stone cold, fried eggs swimming in fat, cold beans, cold bacon. Babyfood watery cold scrambled eggs. There is a microwave thankfully. Coffee and capuchino from the machine not the best and fruit juices only from a machine let it down. No seeds or dried fruit to add to breakfast cereal and no porridge like in other Spanish hotels we've stayed in. Horrible individual margarine and "butter" portions which barely melted on hot toast.

Perfect location on seafront. Clean modern hotel, great foyer and lounge area, perfect room with nice decor, open clothes hanging/storage area, good shower/ bathroom, good lighting and seating, large TV. View on to side street had sea glimpses and was a nice outlook. Nice pool area and good music playing there.

We stayed here with our 1 year old for our first holiday abroad and it was amazing! Staff were so friendly, the housekeepers even though they had no english always had a big smile and stopped to play and talk to our little girl in the hallways which was lovely. The room was spacious and the bed was huge and very comfortable, the pools were lovely and the play areas etc for kids were great. Breakfast buffet had a huge selection. Would definately stay here again!

The rooms were spacious and comfortable . The food in the arena restaurant was really good , As was the service . pool area was clean and lovely . Everyone we encountered at The Blaumar was great . I must make a special comment about the Reception staff . They were so helpful . Excellent and friendly . They were so helpful in answering my questions about the local area , providing maps , ordering taxis . Absolutely excellent staff at reception . really great location .I Highly recommend

Pool area - this was a let down. The hotel was quiet but the little tables next to sunbeds were very dirty. One afternoon we decided to sit around the pool for an hour and I had to ask the pool attendant for a cloth and spray so I could wipe ours down as it was so dirty and I didn't want to put my drinks down. I was very surprised that the inside of the hotel was immaculately clean yet the pool area was so dirty. The pool attendant sat in the corner and I felt he could have walked around and just wiped over the tables for guests. This was a let down.

Room - good size, clean and bright. Large balcony with two chairs and table. Fantastic shower! Dining room - lovely and bright and kept immaculately clean. Staff were very friendly and made sure everything was tidy. Food - breakfast and dinner on couple of nights. Nice selection and all food dishes were kept clean and refreshed. Reception - area was bright, clean and modern. We stayed in April during low season so not many people about.

There was no tea making facilities in the room, so did miss having a cup of tea. Also no usb points in the room.

Beautiful spacious modern rooms and very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, had a pool view which was nice. Great bathroom with walk in shower and hairdryer. A small fridge in the room for drinks.

We couldn’t find how to ring reception, there was no number or advise how to call . The room was a bit cold at night .

No way to open balcony door from the outside. I travelled alone and got locked out on the balcony.i had to shout down to the street to ask someone passing to tell them at reception.luckiky they did and a staff member came up immediately and left me in.

A tiny improvement could be the bar area which was in the shade by early evening so maybe some throws or heaters

Location was great , a little way away from the main drag but opposite the beach and an easy walk in . Breakfast was really good and everything was fresh . The rooms were huge and plenty of towels , maybe a few more toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner would have been great .

The Air con control panel in the room was a bit fiddly, didnt bother asking anyone to explain it to us as we went in April so didnt need it.

A great stay. Took my kids and their partners for a mini break. Hotel was absolutely fantastic. Rooms and all facilities spot on. Pool was lovely and a great secluded location. Didnt book inclusive but we did use the Restaurant for breakfasts most mornings. Very good value and so much choice too. The staff were so friendly and helpful ordering taxis and when an medical issue arose they were able to point us immediately in the right direction. Very professional.
