Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Spacious apartment, equipped with modern furniture and a balcony. The facility has a large heated swimming pool and plenty of space for sunbathing by the pool - plenty of sun loungers. I have very good memories of my stay in this apartment and I would like to thank the host for efficient and flexible check-in and check-out.

Apartment well equiped and spotlessly clean. Pool area very spacious and pool water clean. Finke is a very nice person and happy to do whatever he can to make stay enjoyable. A big thank you to him.

HungaryHad a wonderful time. Host was very helpful, apartment itself was perfect! Well equipped, you can easily cook for yourself if you wish. Whole complex is quiet and peaceful, great for relaxing. Beach is a lot closer than I thought, roughly 5/10 minutes walk. The heated pool was very nice, especially on chillier days. Overall great value for money, definitely recommended!

NetherlandsTo start with, there are cockroaches on the kitchen, in the size of 1 to 3 cm, which is really disgusting. We informed the manager about it so hopefully something will be done about it. We really didn’t like the approach of the property manager. The rules say that if arriving between 20:00 and 22:00, we are charged 35€ extra. Our flight was delayed, so we informed the manager that we will arrive between 20:00 and 22:00. He said it’s not a problem. Later when he found out that we were going to take public transport, he was really rude and insistent that we take a taxi and that we are wasting his time even though we already had to pay him 35€. Upon our arrival we noticed that the water was not going down the drain very well so we informed the property manager about it. Zero reaction followed. A couple of days later the water would not go down at all so we had to clean the drain system ourselves. When we asked whether we will be reimbursed for the job performed, the manager asked for the invoice from our side. We sent it, but since then (more than a month later) we have not heard anything from him or received the money.
We liked that we had a separate bedroom and the location of the property. Also the balcony was a good place to have dinners!
