How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There were some mosquitos in the room but i asked for the room to be sprayed and they did it immediately!
The staff were very friendly and helpful! The location was great as well!

Great location, 10 minutes by walking from Sagrada Familia. Really nice and helpful staff. Clean and full of light room, big and super-comfortable bed.

No internet. This is very basic thing actually . If you want to go to Centre , with you take metro or walk 2 km

Bed was very soft and not so comfortable.
Great location. Easy to find and check in with all the info provided by host. Very good wifi. If you have a late flight home, after check out you can use locker for free and leave your bags there.

Located next to a school where you can hear screaming children throughout the early day but it’s bearable.
Great for solo travelers that want something good and affordable but still want their own privacy unlike a hostel. It is also located very close to a lot of nice restaurants, la sagrada familia and public transportation.

The walls are extremely thin, so bring earplugs :)

No fridge in the room, no DND sign to hang on the door.
The room was big and comfy, also with a large bathroom, the staff was friendly. The location is the best thing about the hotel.

Very central, I did everything on foot. Small but confortable, with air conditioning, good wifi and a kettle. Good contact with manager. I recommend it.

The mattress was too too soft and the walls of the room had “stain” due to the mosquitoes that were killed by the people before us. Would have been nice to had them clean.
Location very closed to the Sagrada Familia and also to the city center (25 min by walk). The sea is about 1h walk far, but with the bike you can go everywhere even more easily. The guy who greeted us for the check in was kind, friendly and ready to help and to give suggestions. You even get their WhatsApp number for whatever issue you have (or also just for tips about the city). The room had also the balcony.

The room is not very soundproofing. Especially one can hear the noisy sound from the street very clearly. If you are sensitive to medium to loud noisy at night. This may not be a good option.
Very good location! Easy access to public transportation. Nice and helpful stuff!

Shower head needed to be fixed, it sprays water in the wrong direction. Would also be nice to have a fridge.
For the price, the combination of comfort, location, and quality was excellent. The bed was comfortable, we loved the little balcony, and everything we needed was close by.

The school next door with kids but it wasn’t a big deal, we quickly got use to is. it’s a city after all

The hot water in the shower often wasn't working. The shower's hose leaked.
Central location close to all attractions and underground station. The room was very clean and it was cleaned dealy. Gently and helpful personnel. Good communication.

Kettle could be cleaner, you need to write or catch someone to bring in fresh towels but otherwise can’t complain about anything.
A nice central location. was in the city for Bruce Springsteen show, it was very hard to book accommodation for a fair price, but this one ticked all the boxes for me and turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. Safebox was a bonus. A cute ‘mini bar’ for emergency snacks. Let me store my luggage’s securely, too.
